Chalet Kakisa Avoriaz, France
Chalet Kakisa sits close to the centre of Avoriaz, a vertical lift ride away from the noise and bustle of the very centre, but perfectly placed on the piste side circumference for breath-taking mountain panoramas and yards from the ski school meeting point, bars and restaurants. When the pistes empty at 5pm you feel privileged to soak up the sublime and slightly eerie wilderness of snow-capped mountains all to yourself. When the lifts start to turn in the morning and your landscape fills with skiers you almost begrudge them your calm.
Chalet Kakisa sleeps 8-10 guests in four en suite bedrooms, one of which has additional bunk beds (charged at half the adult price) making this an ideal space for two families or a group of friends. The chalet is lazily spread over four floors, warm your toes in front of the open fire or curl up on the squashy sofas on the mezzanine above to watch a film. Each of the bedrooms enjoy stunning views and can be presented as either a twin or a double. What's more, for the 2023/24 season we're adding an indoor pool, sauna & hammam!
You can put your skis on right outside the chalet door and ski away in the mornings, the piste is less than 100m from the chalet, so just a short walk at the end of the day to return for afternoon tea.
For guests staying in Chalet Kakisa we recommend the ski hire service from Avoriaz Sport. The shop is a short walk from the chalet so once you are settled and have sampled the afternoon tea that awaits you on arrival a member of the chalet team will take you to the shop. We are confident you’ll get the very best of service from the Avoriaz Sport team.
The location of this chalet cannot be beaten, not only does it offer mind blowing views, it is really close to the piste at 1850m altitude, chair lifts all around you, and just a short lift ride from the centre of the resort, piste side bars and restaurants and ski school meeting point. You can ski out from the chalet and back to within 100m. For guests staying in Chalet Kakisa our pre-booked ski hire is provided by Avoriaz Sport, which is moments away from the property.
Free airport transfers included for all party members. Terms & conditions apply.
This operator believes exceptional service isn't about grand gestures. It's about quietly taking care of the details.
The details that make travelling with children easier and a celebration feel special. The details that mean your lift pass is waiting at breakfast, your favourite wine is already chilled, and someone is always on hand when you need them. The details that have defined how we've looked after guests for more than 35 years. And the details why so many choose to holiday with us again and again.
A great ski holiday begins long before your flight takes off. From the moment you book, our experienced Alpine Account Managers are on hand to help you plan every aspect of your trip.
We're here to help.
They know that every guest is different. Some are celebrating a special birthday. Others are introducing their children to skiing for the first time. Some travel with grandparents. Others simply want a week where someone else takes care of everything.
Whatever brings you to the mountains, our teams take the time to understand what's important to you. It's one of the reasons so many guests tell us their holiday feels personal rather than procedural.
Food has always been one of the highlights of a holiday with this operator. From hearty breakfasts before first lifts to freshly baked afternoon tea and relaxed evening dinners, every meal is designed specifically for life in the mountains.
But it's not just what they serve - it's how they serve it.
Whether that's helping families with earlier children's suppers, catering for dietary requirements or allowing guests booking the whole chalet to choose selected evening mains before they travel, they believe hospitality should be flexible as well as delicious.
Travelling with children should feel exciting, not stressful. From dedicated Bear Cubs childcare and private ski nannies to children's high tea, baby food, weaning support and meals tailored around allergies and preferences, every detail is designed to make family holidays easier. Whether your toddler wants pasta every night or your baby is just beginning weaning, they'll work with you to make mealtimes feel effortless.
Once you're in resort, local teams continue looking after the details.
Their Concierge team is on hand throughout your holiday to help you make the most of your time in the Alps. Sometimes it's the smallest details that create the biggest memories.
Available in selected CLUB Chalets, Platinum is their most personalised holiday experience.
With dedicated pre-departure planning, bespoke dining, enhanced hospitality and thoughtful touches throughout your stay, Platinum allows you to tailor your holiday around your group long before you arrive in resort. Because true luxury isn't about having more, but having everything taken care of.
They know that luxury isn't always about what's included. Sometimes it's about how you're looked after, like a warm welcome after a long journey or a birthday cake arranged in secret. Helping children settle into childcare or remembering your favourite drink. Recommending the perfect mountain restaurant, or finding a ski instructor who suits your confidence.
These are the moments guests remember long after they've returned home, so they mean it when they say they take care of the little things.
Start every ski day with a generous cooked and continental breakfast, freshly prepared by your chalet team on six mornings each week. On your chalet team's well-earned day off, you'll find a plentiful self-service continental breakfast waiting for you to enjoy at your own pace.
Freshly baked cakes or biscuits, bread, preserves and hot drinks await your return from the slopes each afternoon. On your chalet team's day off, homemade afternoon tea is still provided, ready for your return after skiing.
On six evenings each week, enjoy a relaxed three-course dinner accompanied by carefully selected wines, followed by cheese and coffee. For a taste of the wines we serve, please view our wine list, curated in collaboration with Master Sommelier Xavier Rousset.
Your chalet team's day off is the perfect opportunity to discover the local alpine dining scene. The Concierge team will be delighted to recommend and reserve one of their favourite mountain restaurants, allowing you to experience the flavours of the resort.
Begin and end your holiday in style with champagne and canapés served on the first and last evenings of your stay.
With this operator, food is far more than part of your catered chalet package. It's part of the experience.
Their Catering Manager and Executive Chef carefully design every menu around the rhythm of a ski holiday, balancing comforting favourites with lighter dishes, seasonal ingredients and restaurant-quality cooking that satisfies hungry skiers after a day on the mountain.
Whether you're staying in a classic catered chalet, our premium CLUB Collection or Bear Lodge Hotel, every meal is prepared with the same attention to detail, warm hospitality and genuine passion for great food.
Their classic catered chalets combine everything guests love about traditional chalet holidays with the flexibility modern skiers appreciate.
Across six days and evenings you’ll enjoy:
