For seasoned skiers, the deep, powdery snow provides a delightful challenge, and if you’re up for black runs, the Huttu-Ukko is a must-try – it’s Finland’s steepest slope and a training ground for the national ski team.
The village of Pyhä is quaint, with a selection of modern Scandi-style hotels and apartments. The local restaurants offer a true taste of Finland, with dishes featuring reindeer, mushrooms, and berries. The vibe here is relaxed, making it an excellent spot for families. But if you’re in the mood for some après-ski fun, there are a couple of slopeside bars where you can unwind with music, catch live sports, or even belt out some karaoke tunes.

Freestylers will enjoy the half pipe with high walls and good transition in addition to the off-piste areas. Get to grips with the challenges of the runs on the western side of the mountain with great powder runs on both sides of the long T-bar on the North slope.
