Easter Ski Chalets 2027
An Easter ski chalet holiday is one of our favourite ways to end the ski season. The skiing’s still there if you choose the resort well, but the feel is completely different from midwinter. Expect long sunny days, and the kind of weather where an afternoon in the chalet hot tub becomes the best part of your day.
It’s also the practical answer if you missed out at February half term. Easter, which falls on Sunday 28 March in 2027, often has better chalet availability, so if the dates you wanted sold out earlier in the season, the late-Easter weeks are often where the space is. With school holidays starting on Good Friday this year, departures fall mainly on the weekends of 27 March and 3 April this season, and we expect the first week to have the highest demand.
Because snow conditions soften late in the season, we’d point you towards the high, snow-sure names like Tignes, Val d’Isère, Val Thorens, Les Arcs and La Plagne, and towards chalets close to the slopes for a slush-free journey home.
Some resorts make an occasion of Easter. Verbier runs family Easter activities including an egg hunt, and Saas-Fee marks the season with its traditional costume races. And Zermatt’s Unplugged music festival falls within the second week of the Easter school holidays this year.
