St Christoph Ski Holidays

Why choose St Christoph

St Christoph am Arlberg is a small hamlet at 1,800 m on the Arlberg Pass, one of the highest bases in the Alps and higher than St Anton. It offers a quiet and exclusive atmosphere while sharing the same world-class skiing as nearby St Anton, just 7 km away. Almost all accommodation is ski-in/ski-out, with a blue run back into the village and nursery slopes directly beside the hotels, making it the better place to ski if you are a beginner.

The St Christophbahn chairlift links directly to Galzig, providing fast access to the Ski Arlberg network. This is Austria’s largest linked ski area, with 305 km of pistes, 200 km of marked off-piste routes and extensive backcountry terrain. Resorts in the same ski area include St Anton, Stuben, Zürs, Lech, Warth and Schröcken.

The Arlberg ski area is best suited to Intermediate and advanced skiers. It’s especially recommended for skiers wanting to ski off-piste, as it’s one of the best destinations for off-piste, for both skiers and snowboarders. However, with 123km of connected blue runs, it’s not a no-go resort for even total beginners. Positioned in one of the Alps’ snowiest regions, St Christoph benefits from 7–10 m of snowfall each winter, ensuring reliable cover from early December through to late April.

St Christoph appeals to skiers who want all the advantages of the amazing Arlberg ski area but without the bustle of St Anton. The nightlife in St Christoph is much more laid back than in St Anton and activities tend to centre around the hotels. You can expect live bands and DJ’s on the terraces of many of the mountain restaurants at the end of the day, so you won’t miss out on the fun by staying in St Christoph.
