Why Ski In Val Di Fassa?
Val di Fassa is a prime ski resort in the world-famous Sella Ronda circuit, which also links to other illustrious destinations such as Selva, Arabba and Corvara. It forms part of the Dolomiti Superski area, the largest linked ski domain in the world, with over 1,200km of pistes.
Set in the south-western corner of the Sellaronda, Val di Fassa lies within the spectacular Dolomites of north-east Italy. The area was classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage site in 2009. The mountain scenery here has to be some of the very best anywhere in the world. The mountains glow pink or orange at sunrise and sunset, and are the star of many enviable Instagram posts.
The ski range is between 1,320m and 3,342m and offers 115km of local ski runs. The skiing suits all levels, especially intermediate and advanced skiers.
Val di Fassa includes a number of smaller villages and we feature Canazei, Campitello and Pozza. The appeal of this ski area is simple: excellent local skiing in a stunning setting, combined with access to the Dolomites Super ski area. More terrain than even the keenest of piste bashers could manage in a week.
Resorts in the Sella Ronda are always popular with families, particularly for families with children under 7 years old as the ski pass is free.

Beginners Skiing In Val Di Fassa
30 of the ski areas runs are easy so Val di Fassa is an ideal place to learn to ski, timid beginners will enjoy the excellent nursery slopes which are never too crowed even on busy weekends. Once the basics have been mastered the progression slopes (Red runs) offer 41 different runs.
Intermediates Skiing In Val Di Fassa
For keen intermediate skiers and snowboarders the Sella Ronda is a perfect choice, 1220km of skiing is available and it’s possible with an early start to do the whole circuit. Less brave intermediates will certainly enjoy the local runs (41 reds).
Advanced Skiing In Val Di Fassa
The local mountain offers just 3 black runs, not much for the keen advanced skiers and snowboarders but within the full ski area of the Sella Ronda they is plenty to do.
Snowboarding In Val Di Fassa
Val di Fassa has 2 terrain parks and some excellent learner slopes, more advanced snowboarders will probably be better off buying the full ski area pass which opens up some 1220km of pistes.

The Après skiing in Val di Fassa is surprisingly good with some great bars, some open until late, Husky bar often has live music.
