Hotel Madeleine Obergurgl, Austria
If you’re looking for something really special, with an intimate and stylish charm, the Madeleine is for you. Run by Michael Gstrein and his team, this superb luxury hotel has a friendly atmosphere in a prime village location – it’s easy to see why many guests return year after year.
Built into the mountainside – which is especially evident in the wellness areas – the Madeleine has renovated all of its rooms over recent years, giving a light and modern feel throughout. Contemporary artworks painted by Frau Gstrein adorn the walls, adding a personal touch. The hotel continues to invest in regular updates, including a redesigned dining room and cosy bar lounge in 2025, a traditional Tyrolean-style locker room, plus new fitness and games areas for guests of all ages.
In the evenings, you can look forward to excellent local Tyrolean treats and international flavours, complemented by a wide selection of Austrian wines in the restaurant.
