Right in the middle of Auris-en-Oisans and a mere 3 minutes from the lifts, the Résidence Odalys Les Balcons d'Auréa is in a rather good spot. Whether you’re here to learn, staying local or off to explore, you don’t have far to walk – the nursery slope’s just around the corner, along with the Sures and Auris Express chairlifts, which will have you out and about or on your way to Alpe d’Huez in no time.

The apartments themselves are simply decorated, with some modern furnishings and their own balcony or terrace. It’s not the just mountain views that keep the ski vibe strong – some details like patterned bedspreads, curtains and cushions add a welcome touch of alpine charm. You’re not limited to your living room come après time though – you can head for a dip in the pool or maybe pay extra to take a well-earned steam in the sauna.

While staying at Les Balcons d’Auréa, you’ve a handful of restaurants close by. Of course, part of the fun of a ski apartment is cooking up some meals together in your trusty kitchenette. With a hob, a microwave and a dishwasher, you’re set to prep some simple, warming grub when you get in from the day’s skiing – with no washing up too. If you do opt for the self-catered approach, supplies are close by with not one, but two supermarkets within easy popping distance.

All apartments are non-smoking and have a TV and a kitchen with a hob, microwave and dishwasher. Ben linens, towels and end-of-stay cleaning (except kitchen) are included, but guests will need to make their beds on arrival.
