The Belvedere’s in a cracking spot. You’re just a short walk from the lifts and village centre – and those views of the Jungfrau peaks? Pretty special. The hotel itself blends old-world charm with modern comfort, housed in two historic Belle Époque buildings that have been delicately renewed. There’s plenty of space to unwind, with a couple of cosy lounges and bars. Not to mention the spa’s a real highlight – think sauna, steam room, hammam, heated indoor-outdoor pool, ice bath and a relaxation room with views of the Jungfrau. There are four treatment rooms too, perfect for a post-ski massage.
Inside, it’s all about alpine elegance, with locally sourced spruce wood, granite stone and soft woollen fabrics setting the scene. The bedrooms are bright and airy, with big windows that flood the space with light. Some come with balconies, so you can step out and soak up the mountain air. The renovation’s brought in bespoke furniture and thoughtful touches that nod to the building’s heritage, while keeping things fresh and refined. Service is warm and attentive – the kind where nothing’s too much trouble.
When it’s time to eat, you’re in for a treat. The restaurant keeps things simple but elevated, using fresh, seasonal ingredients to create dishes that feel both comforting and indulgent. Breakfast’s a highlight, with homemade jams, fresh bread from the village bakery and options like avocado toast. And for a laid-back après-ski vibe, the Swiss-style Bergwald Bar or the sun terrace overlooking the Lauterbrunnen valley are just the ticket.
Please note: The pool and spa area at the Grand Hotel Belvedere is closed for renovation. These facilities are due to reopen in time for Winter 2025/26.

Safety Advice
Balconies
Safety standards for balconies and public walkways are different in Switzerland – the railings may be lower and they could have ornamental features you wouldn’t see in the UK or Ireland. Please take extra care on or around them, and make sure children aged under 12 years are always supervised.
Fire safety
Please be advised that fire safety standards in Switzerland differ to those in the UK and Ireland, and on occasion you may be in a hotel where the fire escape is in the form of an external ladder and/or you may be required to evacuate via another bedroom. Please ensure that you familiarise yourself with the exits and procedures in your hotel on arrival and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact a member of reception or our resort staff.

Tourist Tax
In some resorts, you’ll need to pay a small fee called a ‘tourist tax' at your accommodation, either when you check in or check out.
These taxes can change at short notice, so it’s always worth checking the latest details before you travel.
Good to know: Not all accommodation accepts card payments for taxes, so you may need to pay in cash instead. For some countries, tourist taxes are calculated based on an accommodation's official rating, which can be different to its rating on our/the operators site.
