Hotel l’Aigle du Montana Tignes, France
Renovated in a charming wooden chalet style, the Hotel l'Aigle du Montana is a warm and cosy hotel achieving that traditional alpine atmosphere every winter holiday needs. Sitting at an altitude of 2,100 metres, this hotel gives you easy access to the large ski area of Tignes and Val d'Isere with some fantastic snow throughout the whole season.
After a day on the slopes, you can relax in the hotels own indoor pool and sauna, and if you want to treat yourself you can also enjoy the spa areas in other Village Montana properties including the Spa by Sothys and the Spa by Valmont, offering saunas, hammams, massages and a range of rejuvenating treatments (pay locally).
The L'Aigle du Montana has an unbeatable location in Tignes, there's a gentle blue slope snowballs throw away so you can clip on your skis and head down to the Almes chairlift, the Chaudanne and Paquis lifts are about a five-minute walk from the hotel - perfect for the keen skiers and boarders who want to make the most of the renowned Tignes-Val d'Isere ski area.
When it's time to come home for the day you can virtually ski back to the door. The centre of Tignes Le Lac is about a ten minute walk away where you there are a handful of lively apres bars, restaurants and shops. Not only that but it's location also guarantees great, panoramic views and all the bedrooms overlook the resort and snowy alpine peaks.
This hotel can be booked on bed and breakfast, or a half-board basis.
For your half-board meals, head over to the Village Montana which is a short one minute walk from the Hotel l'Aigle du Montana. You can dine around in three restaurants at the Village Montana Hotel included in your half board basis.
Breakfast is served from 7-10am in the onsite breakfast area, and each evening you can enjoy your evening meals at the Hotel Village Montana, where you have the option to dine at one of three restaurants.
Enjoy a five course à la carte evening meal with choice of menu and waiter service at 'Les Chanterelles', a traditional French restaurant. Or book into their other two restaurants - choose between 'La Chaumiere' (Savoyarde specialities) or a traditional brasserie 'La Place' in Chalet Montana Platon at the entrance to the complex.
Be sure to book your table at the three restaurants. Opening times may vary, but are usually from 7 – 9:30pm. Please note that some dishes may have an additional supplement.

Superior rooms with balcony and mountain views are 18-25m² and sleep 2 people. These rooms are south-west-facing, with a king-sized bed, and have a shower room. These rooms have a balcony with views of the village or the mountains.

Eurostar & Rail Travel
The Eurostar Snow Train will be back for the 2026/27 ski season, taking passengers from London St Pancras International Station to selected ski resorts. With both Standard and Premier Classes on the Eurostar, comfort and choice are guaranteed all the way.
Step 1 - Board at London St Pancras. Scan your ticket (London St Pancras to Lille Europe) at the gate and go through passport and baggage controls. Your luggage stays with you - the carriages can store bags.
Step 2 - Arrive at Lille Europe. Now it's time to join your connecting service to Lyon, the platform won’t be far away, just check the departure boards once you get there.
Step 3 - Arrive in Lyon. Now it's time to join your connecting local TER train to Bourg-Saint-Maurice. Once again, the platform won't be far away - just check the departure boards once you get there. It's usually on the adjacent platform.
Step 4 - On to your resort. Sit back and make the most of the comfy seats, free Wi-Fi and more, as you're whisked to the Alps. You'll arrive at Bourg-Saint-Maurice.
Step 5 - You've arrived at your final stop, now transfer to your resort. You'll be met by the resort rep and join a short coach journey.
