Step in and feel like a rock star. The brand renowned for its music memorabilia adorned, entertaining hotels, has embraced the character of Tahoe with features such as the laid back Alpine Union championing the mountain lifestyle and skiing. The brand started with Eric Clapton donating his guitar in London and since has almost become a funky museum of rock legends. Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe is no exception.
A huge hotel with over 500 rooms. You'll know you're in Nevada with this Vegas-esque palace. The rooms are modern and full of musical art right down to the song lyric water bottles. Look over the picture-perfect turquoise Lake Tahoe from one side or pine for the mountains as soon as you get off them from the other - the view is your choice.
A 7 minute, 600m walk will get you to the Heavenly Gondola to take you up to the ski area. And getting back to the hotel after a day on the slopes leaves you with plenty of choice in how to unwind. Take a plunge in the heated outdoor pool, put your feet up around the fire pits on the terrace or sip a cocktail and watch the sunset. There are 5 bars and restaurants as well as a specialist coffee café for a cheeky pick-me-up come morning or night.
And lastly, there's the casino. I think you'll find it hard to stay here without at least one spin of the roulette wheel. The 25,000-square foot casino floor has 500 gaming machines and tables. Try your hand at Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Poker or Pai Gow all surrounded by rock memorabilia. Just try not to lose track of time - you'll need at least some sleep to ski the next day.
