Overlooking the expansive frozen lake, facing the majestic Victoria Glacier and surrounded by pine forest as far as the eye can see the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is a glorious winter destination.
Slip out onto the lake for skate on the natural ice rink before retreating from the cold into the grand luxury of the Chateau. Chandeliers and wide-open staircases reflect the timeless decor of a bygone era. Each of the 550 rooms is elegantly furnished, offering breath-taking views of Lake Louise or the surrounding Rocky Mountains.
Numerous restaurants offer delightful dining experiences including the Walliser Stube with its floor-to-ceiling wine library and over 500 bottle to choose from. And don’t miss out on a relaxing massage at the spa or a dip in the heated indoor pool.
The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is, as the name suggests, right on the lake so spectacular views and jealousy inducing holiday snaps. In order to get on the slopes, you’ll have a 10-minute drive or shuttle ride to the Lake Louise ski area. The ski bus is complimentary (included in the Tri-Area lift pass). The village of Lake Louise is also only a five-minute drive away.
Sunshine Village and Mount Norquay ski areas are also accessible via the shuttle buses and take a little longer to reach but it’s well worth at least a day at each.
