Read Reviews for Chalet Montperron

Built 150-years ago in the traditional Savoyard style, the Chalet Montperron stands at an elevation of 1430 metres in an area of outstanding natural beauty and offers outstanding panoramic views over the Tarentaise Valley. The chalet is located on one of the main routes to Italy that leads to the Petit Saint Bernard Pass, and is a 12-minute drive from the lively village of La Rosière.

With 350m² of living space, the Chalet Montperron can cater for up to 12 guests in five, rustic, well appointed en-suite bedrooms (4 with private balcony). The chalet has an impressively sized lounge, furnished with an orange and brown banana shaped suede sofa and is equipped with a large flat-screen TV with UK satellite reception and there is a separate bar area with stools. The main dining area features a magnificent antique Savoy dining table that seats twelve and the walls are adorned with the creative work of local professional photographers. The three sets of screened doors open up to reveal a unique south-westerly vista of the magnificent surrounding countryside.

This is really quite an exceptional chalet constructed using Burnt wood and classic Baroque stone with many of the main load bearing beams visible. The view from most of the rooms, looks down onto Bourg St Maurice, referred to by many as  ‘Vegas’ at night because of its many twinkling lights

This is an ideal location to truly unwind away from the hubbub of your usual world and to escape by engaging with the natural surroundings of the Alps whilst enjoying the traditional hospitality,  exceptional cuisine and relaxation that is a feature of a Green Rides winter holiday.

Guests staying at Chalet Montperron should be aware that taxis (paid for by guests though  organised by hosts) are used to transport clients home after evening excursions into the resort past 11.00pm. Details can be provided when you make your booking.

Food & Wine

In our company we believe in the trio of a good chalet holiday, and food and wine is one of them, if you get three elements correct including the cuisine, we know our clients will depart grinning all the way to the airport.

It has taken us sometime to finely tune and adjust our menu but we now have an excellent full and childrens menu for your chalet holiday.

For example:

Smoked Mackerel and Mousse salad followed by baked pork chops in cider and mustard sauce with winter vegetables and roasted potatoes and then panacotta with orange sauce to finish.

If you still have room there is a full cheese board to follow!

Our house wine served with every meal is Reserve de la Saurine from the Sabran region near Avignon and is delicious!, we have picked this wine for its consistant tones and excellent marriage with everything on our menu.

Our cakes and breakfasts are everything you would expect from an excellent chalet holiday and then there are the staff.

We dont take just anybody, they need to have the right character to work with us, whether they have experience or it’s their first season, they are vigorously trained and continually inspected throughout the season to make sure our culinary standards remain high.

We are able to offer groups booking the whole chalet discounts, please call us for details
