Why Ski in Levi?

Well within the Arctic Circle lies the famous Finnish ski resort of Levi. Visitors from all over flock here to experience the wonders of the Arctic landscape, while enjoying un-crowded slopes and a friendly village atmosphere.

As one of Finland’s largest ski areas, and being the furthest north, Levi boasts fabulous light powder snow from October to May due to the low temperatures throughout the winter. Snow cannons are here too to ensure the pistes are always perfectly maintained.

With over 40 runs and 27 lifts serving the ski area, the slopes are generally un-crowded and queues are kept to a minimum. Lots of competitions and World Cup events have been held here, and for good reason.

The resort itself has a warm and inviting atmosphere, with streets lined with pretty restaurants and cabins, and hotels nestled amongst the trees. Mountain restaurants are also dotted across the slopes, and a spectacular panoramic restaurant sits at the top of one mountain.
