Chalet Furka is ideal for couples and families looking to enjoy the ambience of an attractive traditional Austrian guesthouse in an idyllic location with superb access to the skiing. All rooms are tastefully decorated in a traditional Austrian style with en suite facilities and TVs. Many also have a balcony. As well as a sauna, there is a small beauty salon at the entrance of the chalet, perfect for some après-ski pampering! The comfortable and welcoming dining area has a balcony with great views across the valley. Rooms 6 & 8 have an extra bed for children only, who do not eat with the main group.
This is a Superior chalet so you can enjoy extra features including a warm reception of vin chaud, delicious four course meals and additional indulgent extras.
Zug. The charming Chalet Furka enjoys superb access to the skiing with the Zugerbahn chairlift only 100 metres (approx.) away. The chalet is located opposite the domed church in the tranquil hamlet of Zug, on the road from Lech. It is only 50 metres (approx.) to the bus stop for regular free buses, taking 5 mins (approx.), to reach the exclusive resort of Lech. The service currently runs until 3am (small charge in the evening) so that you can enjoy the atmosphere, tradition and sheer decadence of Lech town itself. The ski hire shop is 5 minutes (approx.) away, and it runs a pick up and delivery service for your convenience.
Chalet staff live in on the ground floor. The owner and his family live on the second floor and share the main entrance. The owner’s friendly mountain rescue dog also lives on site.
A tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by local councils in European ski resorts to support the local tourism infrastructure and may include services such as ski buses, subsidised admission to amenities e.g. pools and ice rinks and events such as firework displays. The amount charged varies according to the standard and type of your accommodation. It is also not paid by all skiers as it is age dependent. Therefore it is not included in the basic price of your holiday as we do not have all skiers’ ages at the time of booking.

If your letters and emails are anything to go by they have succeeded in creating menus that are fresh, healthy and beautifully presented – thank you for your appreciation.
They set high standards for their food and test and taste every one of their recipes – that includes their London office… someone has to do it! Their menus are specially designed to give you what your body needs for active days on the mountain. Chalet hosts are thoroughly trained and required to pass a food and hygiene certificate. They have a team of senior managers whose role is to ensure they deliver first-class meals and service throughout the season.
Because food matters, they believe it is important to use fresh local produce wherever they can. They draw inspiration from regional cuisine and combine it with familiar favourites within their menus. All of their dishes are cooked from scratch and freshly prepared for you to enjoy:
A perfect home-from-home. You'll be well looked after during your stay with a hearty breakfast, a home-baked cake or biscuits with tea and coffee when you arrive back after a day on the slopes and a delicious, freshly cooked 3-course meal with unlimited wine until coffee. WiFi is complimentary in all of their chalets.
Start your ski day with fresh bread, a choice of preserves, cereals, porridge (on request), yoghurts, fresh fruit, fruit juice as well as tea and coffee - plus a different delicious cooked option each morning with hot items which can include from bacon or sausages to hash browns, tomatoes, baked beans or mushrooms.
On your return from the slopes - A freshly baked cake or biscuits with tea and coffee awaits you.
Enjoy a delicious freshly cooked 3-course meal with house wine until coffee for one night less than the duration of your holiday.

Chalet and lodge menus are set menus based on local ingredients. Therefore, it is very important you discuss any dietary requirements with our team before booking. If you have a dietary request which necessitates the preparation of separate dishes outside of our normal menu provision, your booking cannot be confirmed until we have been able to confirm in writing that this is possible. This is especially the case where allergies are concerned (see below). Please also note that we are not responsible for food provided on airlines or restaurants.
Vegetarian menus can always be provided in our chalets as long as we are notified in advance. Please ensure this is noted on your invoice. If we are not notified before arrival, there is a £25 (€30) charge payable in resort. There is a daily vegetarian option available in all their lodges.
They may be able to cater for special diets such as Vegan, gluten free, diary free but this is subject to the availability of specialist ingredients locally so this must be discussed with our team before booking. If we are able to cater for your request, there will be a charge as detailed below to contribute to the cost of additional ingredients and deliveries. All such requests should be discussed with our team at least 14 days prior to departure and you must ensure this is noted on your invoice. If you arrive in resort without having discussed and had noted and confirmed any special dietary requests with us, we cannot guarantee we will be able to cater for your needs. If we are able to do so, there will be a charge of £50 or €60 in resort.
Food allergies – We cannot guarantee the complete avoidance of specific foodstuffs (for example nuts) and therefore cannot accept any liability in the event of an allergic reaction. When you travel with us you accept that our chalet and lodge teams, whilst trained are not always qualified professionals and despite their best efforts we cannot guarantee zero contact with specified foodstuffs, that cross-contamination cannot be ruled out, that we have no control over items of food brought in by other guests and that we cannot always be aware of precise food contents of ingredients.
