Accommodation records for resort:
In contrast to its bigger sister Vail, Beaver Creek is a haven of peace both on and off the slopes. Its regarded as the swish end of Vail, with many slope side condos and smart 5* hotels.
Beaver Creek ski resort information

The ski resort of Beaver Creek is located 16km from Vail and is quite simply as upmarket as you can get. The resort was developed in the 1980s and although everything is slightly ‘disneyesque’ (everything is just perfect – it looks like a film set!) the slopes are a MUST! The slopes are served by fast chairlifts and are often empty. The slopes cover an area from Bachelor Gulch and Arrowhead to Spruce Saddle and everything in between. The slopes are covered by fast quad chairs and the beginners even get their own gondola. Just below Beaver creek is the town of Avon which is a less expensive option for skiing this exclusive resort. There’s a free bus from Avon to take you up to the Beaver creek slopes.

The town is traffic free and filled with up market classy hotels and restaurants and yes, even the pavements are heated and there are also pedestrian escalators if you don’t fancy walking uphill in your skis and boots. You will be totally spoilt in this resort.
This resort is on the lift pass which also covers the popular resorts of Vail, Breckenridge and Keystone. You can also reach Copper Mountain very easily although this is not covered on the lift pass.

All of the slopes are within the tree line and Beaver Creek has an impressive snow record of over 310inches average per season. There are terrain parks to cover all levels of skier and boarder and the ski schools have all had excellent reports.

Après ski in the ski resort of Beaver Creek

The après ski in ski resort Beaver Creek is up market with many high end bars in the various hotels, however live music can be found in both McCoy’s and Coyote Café.

Activities off the slopes in the ski resort of Beaver Creek

Beaver Creek has some classy boutiques and galleries to wander around. If you feel a little more energetic you can ice skate, take a hot air balloon ride or try dog sledding or snowshoeing.

Beginners skiing in the ski resort of Beaver Creek

With your own Gondola you will learn to ski in style here on the excellent resort level nursery slopes with some great ski schools. There are longer slightly more difficult runs to progress to higher up the mountain

Intermediates skiing in the ski resort of Beaver Creek
This resort is a delight for intermediates as there are many blue runs which are wide and tree lined and which often run from top to bottom – with a vertical of over 1000m. The fast efficient lifts will take you all over the mountain and there will always be a great blue run to choose from.

Advanced skiing in the ski resort of Beaver Creek

With single and double diamond runs galore you will be very happy here. In the Birds of Prey and the grouse mountain area you will find the best runs including the Brides of prey downhill racecourse.

Snowboarding in the ski resort of Beaver Creek

Beginners will learn quickly here, there are some great carving runs and gladed slopes abound. The terrain parks will also please.
