We are delighted to introduce the ambassador, with its unbeatable prime location, comfortable bedrooms and public areas, and our popular chalet hotel catering and service.
the ambassador is just across the traffic-free street from the foot of the main slopes. you can ski back virtually to the door in normal conditions, and it is equally easy to access the main high-speed lifts at the start of the day, with the three key main lifts all within about 3 minutes’ walk. the resort high street starts just across the bridge, a minute’s walk away, with the inviting bars, cafés and shops of the delightful traffic-free village centre all conveniently close at hand. a ski-hire shop is also just a couple of minutes’ stroll from the hotel although there is a discount if you pre-book this via the ski line website.
ski area access
the spielboden and plattjen gondolas are only about 2 minutes' walk away (150m) and the alpin express to the felskinn area about 3 minutes (300m). alternatively, just 270m away, a short drag-lift connects to the second felskinn cable-car, which goes straight up to 3,000m. runs from all sides bring you back home to just across the street from the ambassador itself.
the beginners’ area is just 3 minutes’ walk away (300m) across the bridge, with 3 drag-lifts and a choice of blue runs in an ideal area for learning.

the heated indoor swimming-pool, sauna and whirlpool spa-bath provide the perfect way to relax tired skiing muscles after a long day on the slopes
the comfortable lounge welcomes you to afternoon tea, and the bar provides for a relaxing drink before or after dinner. our extensive buffet breakfast and culinary choice evening meals are served in the attractive dining-room.
most of the spacious bedrooms sleep two to four people, with twin beds and a double sofa-bed (1.8m long) suitable for children under 12 if required. all are attractively furnished in traditional style, with en suite bathrooms, a tv and mini-fridge for your convenience, and a balcony or terrace to enjoy the sunshine and the spectacular views.
coaches are not allowed into the centre, so on your arrival from the airport you will be met by our resort team at the main entrance to the village. from here it is a gentle ten-minute walk along the picturesque main street to the ambassador, enabling our team to point out village amenities en route, while all your luggage is transported direct to the ambassador’s welcoming reception.

Children in chalet... Please note that on non school holiday dates children under the age of 13 may not be permitted unless the group have taken booked the whole chalet. Please also note that Children under the age of 13 will only be served high tea and will not be permitted to dine with the adults. High teas are served at 5:30 as the main evening meal for children under 13. Children 13 or older will dine with the adults normally at around 20:00 to 20:30 each evening (except on chalet staffs night off) |
