One of the quickest ways to ruin a fun day skiing is to feel cold to very cold. It helps to not only dress warmly (multiple layers) and use clothing that "wicks away" moisture to keep you dry but also to have items that "warm up". These include packets that when exposed to air heat up and remain warm for hours. They are perfect for both feet and hands and work terrific. If your extremities are kept warm the rest of you can stay warm (opposite is true if you're overheated)and you're not so uncomfortable with fingers and toes hurting. Keeps the fun going. :)Be prepared!

a charming swiss chalet located right in the heart of champery, just a 300m walk from the cable car departure and close to all restaurants and amenities. the chalet is built on 3 floors. the middle floor has a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, fridge, toaster and coffee machine, a cosy lounge with a sofa bed and 2 armchairs. it is equipped with cable tv, dvd player and stereo and a shower room with toilets.the top floor is a romantic double bedroom and balcony with views on the dents du midi.the bottom floor is a lovely twin bedroom with french windows giving a wonderful view of the swiss alps.the chalet also has a private car park. ask the resort manager for advice on the many activities in champery and the best places to ski. also they’ll give you inside knowledge on the very best places to eat and drink and will happily book you a table. book with the concierge service if you would like fresh bread and croissants delivered to your door in the morning.
