One of the quickest ways to ruin a fun day skiing is to feel cold to very cold. It helps to not only dress warmly (multiple layers) and use clothing that "wicks away" moisture to keep you dry but also to have items that "warm up". These include packets that when exposed to air heat up and remain warm for hours. They are perfect for both feet and hands and work terrific. If your extremities are kept warm the rest of you can stay warm (opposite is true if you're overheated)and you're not so uncomfortable with fingers and toes hurting. Keeps the fun going. :)Be prepared!

this traditional-style swedish chalet offers a cosy and homely atmosphere with the added luxury of a private sauna. it is situated 500m from the charming village centre of åre with its choice of bars, shops and restaurants. the ski bus stops outside the chalet and serves the beginner’s area at rodkullen. the nearest lift is 600m away.

ground floor: entrance area, shower area, large sauna and wc.


first floor:
spacious open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge area with tv, dvd player and terrace. one triple room with a single bed (at bunk bed level accessed by a ladder) and a set of bunk beds available at a reduction. a separate wc.
