Slovenia is a small country bordering Italy to the west and Austria to the north;
it was the first of the counties to break away from the former Yugoslavia and managed to escape the turmoil of the Balkans.
Its economy is doing very well; this is reflected in the 3 ski resorts of Slovenia that Skiline features: Bled,
Bohinj & Kranjska Gora.
Skiline only offers packages to Slovenia with flights to Ljubljana the capital city with the main resorts reached by coach transfers.
We don't recommend skiing in Slovenia to advanced skiers or those who like to rack up the miles, as the slopes are better
suited to beginners and timid intermediate skiers.
British and Dutch skiers are the main visitors together with visitors from Italy and Austria looking for a less expensive ski holiday.
Slovenia has a good snow record and its located on the sunny side of the Alps. The lifts are now a little dated but with few
queues delays are not the norm, although many resorts have a high number of T-bar lifts, so snowboarders beware!
