We firmly believe that the Breithorn must rank as one of the best hotels in all European ski resorts. Its understated luxury and quality service has been extremely popular with our clients since it opened in January 2002. From the moment you enter the spacious lounge and reception with open log fire and antique furniture, you are aware of the clever combination of old and new – automatic glass doors hidden behind a beautiful old wooden front door, traditional cow bells hanging over a table with daily English and Italian newspapers and a discrete bar with the finest malt whiskies served from behind an antique wooden sideboard. The bedrooms, which are all different in size, shape and aspect, offer lovely accommodation with welcoming touches such as fresh flowers, toweling robes, slippers and quality toiletries. No two rooms are alike. The bedrooms are currently divided in to 4 categories of which we have chosen to offer the Deluxe (or Lusso) grade in our brochure.
We believe that this room type offers the best value for money. We are happy to provide quotes for the slightly lower grade Classic rooms, or for the Superior or Prestige rooms. The hotel also has a delightful Junior Suite which has a separate bedroom (with open fire place), living area and spacious bathroom with jacuzzi bath and walk-in shower - perfect for a honeyoon or special celebration.
Please note that none of the rooms at the Breithorn have fabulous views due its location, tucked away on the main street. We are happy to discuss the merits of each room type with you but we are happy to recommend all the rooms at this delightful hotel.
All bedrooms (excluding the Classic grade of room) have a DVD player which can also be used to play music CD's. The reception at the hotel has a library of DVD's for the use of guests The wood panelled dining room is a relaxing haven at the end of a hard day on the slopes and the attentive service matches the superb quality of the food and wine on offer. Afternoon tea and cakes are served after skiing, for which there is a small local charge (about Euros 5 per person), are served in the lounge.
At the bottom of the entrance steps up to the entrance to the hotel is a separate restaurant, the Brasserie, owned by the Breithorn. Open to non-hotel residents, this restaurant offers excellent food and is also available for exclusive use to wedding parties (minimum charges apply for exclusive use).
Residents at the Breithorn can choose to dine during their stay (subject to availability) at the Brasserie or at Chalet Mascognaz - the hotel's private chalet - and receive a 50% credit against the a la carte menu at these restaurants. The remainder of the charge can be billed directly to your room at the hotel.
We have an excellent relationship with the management at the Breithorn and can highly recommend this delightful property.
