the chalet saffron occupies the middle floor (first) of this delightful, central and well-designed freestanding property. it is located in the heart of val d'isere and is a light and bright apartment-chalet that has been sympathetically designed using warm woods and local materials. it is in a wonderful location, just set back from the main road, with easy access to the slopes (3-minutes walk) and the village centre.

there is a spacious open-plan lounge/dining area with a flatscreen tv and dvd player. there are 5 well-appointed, comfortable, but small, en suite twin bedrooms.  two rooms have en suite shower and wc (2 & 3) and the others have baths and wc (1, 4 & 5).

the larger chalet balias (12 beds) is upstairs and the chalet reuben (10 beds) is below, so it is a perfect solution for groups of up to 32 people.

all 3 chalets share the hallway entrance, plus there is a dedicated ski and boot area. the sauna, showers and relaxation area are located on the lower ground floor - these facilities are for all 3 chalets to use.

Your day starts with a cooked breakfast or a continental option. On your return from the slopes, an afternoon tea of fresh bread and jam and freshly baked cake, or other treat, awaits you in your chalet. The gastronomic highlight of the day is a delicious three course dinner, preceded by canapés, and accompanied by a choice of good quality wine, specially chosen by past guests. Coffee, chocolates and a glass of port with your cheese course follows.



A glass of chilled champagne is served to welcome you on your first evening and soft drinks and mixers are available throughout your stay. Once a week you will have the chance to sample local cuisine when our chalet staff take a well-earned day off. Your host will, of course, recommend a choice of local restaurants and book a table where required.



Our menu plans can be altered to suit special dietary needs so please let us know if you are vegetarian, vegan or inform us of any allergies you may have. We are also happy to provide high tea or early suppers for parties travelling with younger children.
