Chalethotel Cygnaski is just minutes from the centre of Val d'Isere. Access to the slopes is easy, with a short bus ride to the La Daille lifts in one direction and the Le Fornet lifts and nursery slopes in the other.
The chalethotel is extremely welcoming, with a lovely large lounge area wrapping round a huge log fire with stone chimney - just the place to relax after a day's skiing. The bar, which is separate from the lounge is small and cosy and very popular for an après ski beer or aperitif before dinner. The dining room is large and bright and is laid out to be social.
The comfortable bedrooms are spacious with lovely large windows and en-suite bathrooms. Many of which can take extra beds for children or a cot. There are a number of twins, doubles and interconnecting rooms available and there are also single rooms.
Breakfast, afternoon tea and a 3 course dinner with a choice of wines are all served in the dining room. Dinner is either a plentiful buffet or an a la carte menu with a choice of starters, mains and desserts, including vegetarian options. We provide a High Tea/Early dinner sitting for children enabling parents to dine with friends and fellow guests a little later on.
We find that many of our guests enjoying taking some time out from the slopes by relaxing with a book on one of the comfy sofas beside the fire. For something a little more indulgent, such as a health and beauty treatment or a massage then a short bus ride to the village centre takes you to the therapy centre. Our hotel staff will be happy to make a booking for you during your stay.
The Cygnaski is a great hit with families as it is incredibly spacious and conveniently located just a stone's throw from the bus stop where the free resort bus runs frequently throughout the day and evening.
The large crèche and colourful nursery are situated on the ground floor and run by our fully qualified nannies. We run 4 children’s clubs from our crèche for children aged 4 months - 12 years including a drop off and pick up service from ski school. |
It's important to us that you enjoy every moment of your holiday - the skiing, the resorts, and - of course, the food and drink. We've taken great care to make sure that our dining rooms are atmospheric places where you can unwind and chat with friends. Meals are relaxed occasions at our chalethotels with plenty of delicious, healthy food, accompanied by good wines.

A selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate is available in the lounge throughout the day.
Afternoon tea
This is a sight you will come to love - a selection of cakes, biscuits, bread, jams and honey, to greet you on your return from the slopes. There's also soup, if you prefer, along with a choice of teas, coffee and plenty of hot chocolate.
Dinner
Six nights a week our chefs create a three course menu with a choice of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. On two evenings, including the evening of arrival, they will prepare a buffet with plenty of choice to suit all tastes. For those with a sweet tooth there are some memorable desserts to enjoy, or, for those who prefer savouries, we serve cheese.
Wine
To accompany your meal you have a choice of wines; two whites and two reds. These table wines are complimentary and are available throughout dinner until coffee is served. We have a selection of other wines that can be purchased at extra cost.
Special diets
If you have any special dietary requirements please let us know before you travel and we will do our best to accommodate you. If you require specialised products, it may be advisable to bring these along with you.
Special occasions
Should you be marking a special occasion and need a celebratory cake, please speak to the chalethotel staff in good time, or order it through our After Sales department prior to your holiday.
Eating out
Once a week, our chefs and kitchen staff have an evening off. This is your opportunity to explore the local restaurants. Your chalethotel will have plenty of information on the local places to eat and will be happy to book a table and arrange transport for you. Please note this meal is at your own expense. Breakfast and afternoon tea are served as usual on this day.
Seating arrangements
Many of our guests enjoy the convivial dinner party ambience of a large shared table, whereas others prefer to dine in a family group or as a couple. It does depend on the size and layout of the dining area, but our staff will always do their best to accommodate your preferences. In chalethotels Tovière, Cygnaski, Moris and Christina, where our dining rooms are designed for the more traditional chalet-style skiing holiday, guests dine together in groups.
Bars
All our chalethotels have their own bars for the use of guests. Drinks bills are charged to your room and must be paid for at the end of your holiday by Visa, Mastercard or in local currency. Please note that licensing laws prohibit the drinking of duty-free or brought-in alcohol in our public rooms. |
