La Bergerie is located on the site of an old "Bergerie" or shepherd's hut, dating back to the 17th century. This unique chalet has been renovated with many of the original features blending traditional wood and stone with modern facilities. Decorated with care, there is a prevailing sense of calm and tranquillity helped by its location in a private enclave above Val d’Isere.

La Bergerie boasts four ensuite twin or king-size bedrooms, one of which has a small interconnecting room, ideal for a child or nanny and a fifth bedroom with its own private bathroom. Every room has an individual sense of style and character, which makes them all an equally attractive retreat after an active day.

the vaulted ceiling of the open plan sitting / dining room gives a sense of space without losing the warmth of the room created by the open log fire, and complimented by the rich colours and textures of the carefully hand picked furnishings.

La Bergerie sports additional features such as the luxury of a private massage room where the trained physiotherapists can work out those weary limbs, or the state of the art cinema room complete with a Nintendo wii.

Whether enjoying a breakfast of your choice or a gourmet five course dinner, the floor to ceiling windows of la Bergerie offer a spectacular view down the Manchet valley. The secluded hot tub and terrace are also an ideal place to watch the sun set over the Roche de Charvet whilst enjoying a well-deserved glass of champagne.

Hearty Breakfast

Early morning tea will be served in your bedroom on request followed by a leisurely breakfast with freshly baked bread , croissants and pastries . Fresh fruit and yoghurts , fruit juice and a choice of cooked breakfast will be available each day.

Home Baking & Mountain Air

Home-baked scones , cakes and biscuits will be available on your return from the slope with a choice of hot drinks. Relax by the open fire and catch up on the days news or have that well earned soak in the tub and quick snooze before supper

And so to Dinner

Pre-dinner canapés, champagne and aperitifs will be served each evening and when all guests are assembled a relaxed dinner will be served together with carefully matched fine wines.

Our Cellars

We are privileged to know in person a large number of wine producers particularly in France and all wines and champagnes have been very carefully selected for your pleasure. The finest Sauvignon Blanc from Sancerre and Pouilly Fume will accompany many of our entrees and fish dishes followed by some fine Pouilly Fuisse Rully or Chablis from Burgundy. Our reds will range from refreshing Julienas or Fleurie through delicate Pinot Noirs from Beaune to warming wines from Chateauneuf or Vacqueras and onto some fine clarets from Bordeaux
