The fabulous Chalet Chardon, located at 2100 metres altitude in one of the two most popular areas of Tignes (Tignes Le Lac, resort up to 3450 metres), is an 8 bedroom property who's previous owner, Robert Maxwell, went to great lengths to create this jewel of a ski retreat. The best views in Tignes are transported into your communal areas and master bedrooms via walls of glass that separate the over-sized lounge from the sun facing terrace, with your ideally located outdoor hot tub. With views to die for, the location is also formidable. Ski on-piste to the door, lift out, with local shops and amenities on your doorstep.
The chalet is located right in the heart of the Espace Killy and is only one lift away from Val d'Isere. Chalet Chardon is well equipped with the following coming as standard: Hot tub, Pool table, WiFi, satellite TV, Chalet PC, XBox 360 and stunning views overlooking an Olympic and world renowned ski area.
To complete Mr Maxwells vision meant purchasing an entire floor of the Combe Folle apartment building, not forgetting to give his own master bedroom some of the best views on the planet (see photos below) and life's little luxuries such as jacuzzi baths and a 26 square metre double bedroom.
The chalet (as per the floor plan) sprawls across this large space with no need for cumbersome stairways. In addition to the spacious entrance hallway (large enough for your pool table!) is the large comfortable lounge with a comfortable sofa seat available to every guest. The Kitchen / Dining area is again a good size and a great place to chat about the days skiing 'events' over our mouth watering cuisine and your glass of wine selected from our 6 bottled varieties available to you on an unlimited basis, with the backdrop of the famous 'the fingers' mountain of Tignes setting the scene. (Believe it or not before the coming of our first child we actually used to fling ourselves down this demanding off piste route! The World freeski championships also sometimes use them - you will have prime position from the hot tub on your terrace!).
What is great about Tignes is not only the skiing. Lots of diverse nightlife, apres ski, cinema, bowling, ice go-karting, and it's new indoor leisure centre with hydroslides, lazy river and wellness centre with three hot tubs, and enormous steam room and two saunas, with incredible views.
