Les Arcs 1800 ski resort information
Les Arcs 1800 is one of the villages in the Paradiski area (on the Les Arcs side) located at 1800m it’s mainly a resort of apartments which are available in various standards and sizes. We also offer a few ski hotels too.
Les Arcs 1800 is situated in the heart of the Les Arcs ski area being quite near to the link from Peisey Vallandry across to the La Plagne side of the mountain, so is an ideal base for those taking the full area pass. A good network of blue runs around Les Arcs 1800 is ideal for beginners and is where the only green run in the resort is located.
Skiing in Les Arcs offers a huge variety of slopes from the top ski area at 3225m to the lower runs at 1200m. Many of the runs are long and some are tree lined which is ideal if the weather closes in.

Les Arcs and La Plagne ski area are now one larger ski area called the Paradiski which together offer 425 km of perfectly groomed pistes, 200 km of which are on the Les Arcs side. The Vanoise express connects the two ski areas between Peisey Vallandry on the Les Arcs side and Montchavin & Les Coches on the La Plagne side.

If night life is important, Les Arcs 1800 is the place to be with a large number of bars playing live music. The J.O bar is open until the early hours. Others popular bars include Red Hot Saloom, and Chez Boubou. The Jungle café serves cocktails. The Golf hote,l one of the few hotels within Les Arcs, has a Jazz bar where live jazz is played.

Les Arcs 1800 has limited off slope activities, there is bowling and ice skating and the cinema shows English films.
Beginners skiing in the ski resort of Les Arcs 1800
Les Arcs 1800 has excellent nursery slopes in fact the only Green run in the area. There is a good network of gentle Blue runs above the village and once the basics have been mastered the local area offers good skiing for beginners with every lift having at least one easy way down.
Intermediates skiing in the ski resort of Les Arcs 1800
The whole area is ideal for intermediate skiers, 83% of the runs are blue or red in Les Arcs and La Plagne. Nearly all lifts have an easy way down and is one of the reasons that intermediate skiers and snowboarders head for Les Arcs and La Plagne.
Advanced skiing in the ski resort of Les Arcs 1800
Les Arcs has some great genuine Black runs particularly so from the higher lifts; The Aiguille Rouge cable car connects to one such run. The off piste skiing here is very good after good snow fall in les Arcs the off piste snow can last for weeks as its not as busy here with advanced skiers as some other resorts such as Chamonix.
