La Praz is a real alpine village with attractive narrow cobbled street. Access to the slopes is easy with direct access to Courchevel 1850. The 3 valley area is suitable for all levels of skiers. We think La Praz is particularly suitable for families and we offer some great child care chalets here. Courchevel 1300 ski resort information   Famous for the ski jumps, a legacy of the winter Olympics in 1992, Courchevel ski resort is located at 1300m is the most attractive of the 4 Courchevel resorts. Courchevel 1300, Courchevel 1550, Courchevel 1650 and Courchevel 1850.  Courchevel Le Praz is part of the world famous 3 valleys ski area which links ski resorts such as Meribel, Val Thorens, La Tania and St Martin du Belleville covering over 650km of piste making the largest linked ski area in the world.   Courchevel La Praz also known as Courchevel 1300 was the original village in the days before skiing started and still today has the charm of a real mountain village. Two bubble lifts depart the village one heading to Courchevel 1850 the other to Chenus at 2243m which opens up lots of possibilities to ski either to the ski resorts of Courchevel or La Tania, or to Meribel and beyond.   Courchevel 1300 has a good selection of ski chalets, ski hotels and a few ski apartments for those who prefer self catered ski holidays.   Après ski in the ski resort Courchevel 1300   Fine dinning is now an option in Courchevel 1300 with the opening of a Michelin star restaurant Azimut which is great value but always busy. There are a number of good bars although the night life is more laid back than in other ski resorts in the 3 Valleys area.   Beginners skiing in the ski resort Courchevel 1300   Both the Praz bubble lift and Foret lifts connect to green runs around Courchevel 1850 making this ski resort ideal for beginners.   Although the runs back down to the ski resort of Courchevel 1300 are blacks and Red don’t let this put you off as you can always return to the village by lifts or bubble.   Intermediates skiing in the ski Courchevel 1300   Courchevel 1300 is a perfect choice for intermediate skiers as the opportunities within the 3 valleys ski area are endless. Taking the Foret bubble from the village connects to Chenus from here you can drop down to Meribel.     Advanced skiing in the ski resort Courchevel 1300    As with any of the villages within the 3 valleys ski area this is a perfect choice as there are so many runs with 48% of the skiing on Black or Red runs.
