Alpe d’Huez/ Vaujany ski resort information
Vaujany is located to the left hand side of the Alpe d’Huez ski area as you look at the piste map. It’s superbly located for quick and easy access to the centre of Alpe d’Huez via a massive 160 person cable car that whisks you up from the valley in to the very heart of this famous ski area.
Vaujany is located at 1250m but the skiing range is between 1120m and 3320m so more than high enough to be snow sure well into May in most years.
So why stay in Vaujany rather them Alpe d’Huez? We think Vaujany will appeal to families and couples, it’s a quiet village which has in recent years been growing at a steady level. Despite the large growth in bed numbers this resorts is on the very much quieter of this valley.
There are no runs back to the village itself, so getting home relies on the cable car or by skiing down a black (easy not too steep) to L’Eversin d’Oz and then a bucket lift back to the village.
Ski Line offer apartments, catered chalets and some excellent family run hotels in Vaujany. We also offer child care in this resort via English speaking nannies.

Advanced Skiing in ski resort Alpe d’Huez/ Vaujany
If you like your pistes long than you might like to know that Europe’s longest ski run is here and it’s black! It’s called the Sarenne and runs from the top of Pic Blanc, OK in places it’s like a blue but sections of it will challenge even the best of the best. But it’s the off piste skiing that’s the draw for better skiers and snow boarders here.
Snow boarding in ski resort Alpe d’Huez/ Vaujany
Off piste to suite all standards of snow boarders is the prize at Alpe d’Huez… A great lift system and great varied terrain will keep you coming back for more. When there is a full moon the Sarenne offers a chance to ski the longest run in Europe by nothing more than the light of the moon, fantastic!
