Accommodation records for resort:
Oz en Oisans is a pretty chalet-style mountain village nestled in the pine trees with several shops, restaurants and bars. It is a perfect destination for families and is linked in to the Alpe D'Huez ski area with high-speed ski lifts.
Built in 1989, Oz en Oisans is 55kms away from Grenoble in the French Alps. Oz en Oisans is made up of 10 hamlets.

the skiing
Oz has 230km of alpine skiing and 30km of crosscountry slopes. Oz is one of the 5 resorts in the Grandes Rousses domain.

advanced
There are a variety of black runs, mogul fields galore and steep descents. Experts will revel in the opportunities here. Not to be missed are the Tunnel run beneath the Pic Blanc cable car and the 16km 'Sarennes' run, the longest black run in France! The area above Vaujany is home to some of the best off piste terrain (only recommended with a guide).

intermediate
You will be spoilt for choice here! The selection of runs are both tempting and plentiful.

beginner
With the help of the reputable Ecole du Ski Français, beginners of all ages will be able to gain confidence in the exclusive low speed zone in the centre of Alpe d'Huez. In Vaujany beginners can access the nursery slopes at Montfrais via a direct gondola and in Oz en Oisans the nursery slopes are located at the top of the Alpette cable car, both have a separate branch of the ESF.

family
Perfect for families.

snowboarding
If you relish boarding off piste and can ride black runs then you will appreciate what the area has to offer. Alternatively for the novices and intermediates the choice of blues and reds will not disappoint you. There is a fun park at Lac Blanc, and designated show boarding instructors at both ski schools.

apres ski
Snowshoeing, climbing (recently built and free), ice rink, pedestrian walks, paragliding, cinema. There are also several bars and restaurants.
