Tucked right on the edge of the piste with dazzling views of the mountains beyond, the Chalet Hotel Tarentaise is located in the heart of the Three Valleys, offering you some of the very best skiing and boarding available in a truly stunning setting. Its central location gives you easy access to the Three Valley network of over 600km of pistes with the added advantage of ski-in ski out.



At Chalet Hotel Tarentaise you will find all home from home comforts, from the large lounge with central log fire and bar area to the dining room looking out to the mountains. The spacious bedrooms are all en-suite, have flat screen TV showing English channels and most have balconies.  Choose from a twin, double or inter-connecting room, most of which can take an extra bed.



You’re spoiled for choice when you breakfast in the dining room - indulge yourself in a full English breakfast, a bowl of fuel-packed porridge, an omelette specially cooked to order or help yourself from a mouth-watering range of fruit, pastries and yoghurts. And of course, the holiday wouldn’t be complete without our famous high tea with its selection of homemade cakes, bread and soup and a choice of starters, main course and desert in the evening, pleasantly accompanied by complimentary wine.



And if you’re feeling in need of some pampering, all you need to do is pop into our sauna or beauty salon on the lower ground floor.



Children will love the hotel’s brightly decorated crèche which opens straight out onto the snow, and you’ll have a hard time dragging them away from their kids club at the end of the day. And in the evening, we run a supervised film showing in the crèche, where our nannies will look after the children whilst you relax over dinner knowing they’re in good hands.



Ski Hosting

We run a full ski hosting programme at the Chalet Hotel Tarentaise. For 4½ days a week our ski hosts will guide you around the mountain, heading off to the best pistes and picking out the best lunch stops. We group people on ability with 3 groups available; leisurely, intermediate and advanced, this means that you can go at your pace throughout the day.



The Trois Vallees is a great ski area for skiers and boarders of all abilities, and ski hosting is a great way to make the most of your time on the mountain, not having to stop to read the piste map or worrying about heading off in the wrong direction! Children aged 12 years upwards are also welcome to join the hosting groups, but must be accompanied by an adult.



Childcare

Chalet Hotel Tarentaise is extremely child friendly with a spacious crèche and outdoor play area. Open from 9.00am to 5:30pm daily and fully staffed by our team of qualified nannies, there are four childcare clubs for children from ages 4 months to 12 years.



We offer a FREE evening drop in crèche which is open from 7:30pm every evening until 11pm (closed Sunday night).



The hotel crèche is fully equipped with all essentials such as cots, potties, bottle sterilisers and fridge. There is also a 24 hour kitchen facility for any late night feeds.



Babysitting is available at an extra charge but subject to availability.

It's important to us that you enjoy every moment of your holiday - the skiing, the resorts, and - of course, the food and drink. We've taken great care to make sure that our dining rooms are atmospheric places where you can unwind and chat with friends. Meals are relaxed occasions at our chalethotels with plenty of delicious, healthy food, accompanied by good wines.



Breakfast

Breakfast is served every morning until 10am. As well as a cooked breakfast, there is a buffet of juices, cereals, yoghurt and fruit, local breads and pastries, preserves and honey, along with tea, coffee, herbal teas and hot chocolate.

A selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate is available in the lounge throughout the day.



Afternoon tea

This is a sight you will come to love - a selection of cakes, biscuits, bread, jams and honey, to greet you on your return from the slopes. There's also soup, if you prefer, along with a choice of teas, coffee and plenty of hot chocolate.



Dinner

Six nights a week our chefs create a three course menu with a choice of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. On two evenings, including the evening of arrival, they will prepare a buffet with plenty of choice to suit all tastes. For those with a sweet tooth there are some memorable desserts to enjoy, or, for those who prefer savouries, we serve cheese.



Wine

To accompany your meal you have a choice of wines; two whites and two reds. These table wines are complimentary and are available throughout dinner until coffee is served. We have a selection of other wines that can be purchased at extra cost.



Special diets

If you have any special dietary requirements please let us know before you travel and we will do our best to accommodate you. If you require specialised products, it may be advisable to bring these along with you.



Special occasions

Should you be marking a special occasion and need a celebratory cake, please speak to the chalethotel staff in good time, or order it through our After Sales department prior to your holiday.



Eating out

Once a week, our chefs and kitchen staff have an evening off. This is your opportunity to explore the local restaurants. Your chalethotel will have plenty of information on the local places to eat and will be happy to book a table and arrange transport for you. Please note this meal is at your own expense. Breakfast and afternoon tea are served as usual on this day.



Seating arrangements

Many of our guests enjoy the convivial dinner party ambience of a large shared table, whereas others prefer to dine in a family group or as a couple. It does depend on the size and layout of the dining area, but our staff will always do their best to accommodate your preferences. In chalethotels Tovière, Cygnaski, Moris and Christina, where our dining rooms are designed for the more traditional chalet-style skiing holiday, guests dine together in groups.



Bars

All our chalethotels have their own bars for the use of guests. Drinks bills are charged to your room and must be paid for at the end of your holiday by Visa, Mastercard or in local currency. Please note that licensing laws prohibit the drinking of duty-free or brought-in alcohol in our public rooms.
