The Ridge Hotel combines chic contemporary design with breathtaking mountain views and is well located to access the heart of the Portes du Soleil skiing area with 650 kilometres of pistes. The free bus service stops right outside the hotel to take you to the Ardent telecabine that takes you right into the largest linked ski area in Europe.

The Super Morzine gondola is a few minutes walk from The Ridge with access up the mountain into Avoriaz. The very centre of Morzine is also close by bus and on foot. There is ample free parking directly opposite the hotel and plenty of space to store equipment in our ski and boot rooms.

In winter we have all the essentials you need for a great winter sports holiday including our very own ski and board hire shop so you don’t need to go far to get kitted out. At Ridge Sports all the staff have bags of experience and if you need to change anything the shop is open in the early evening.

At the Ridge you pay a great price yet it is proof that a budget price doesn't have to mean basic. All 30 bedrooms have en-suite showers, washbasins and toilets. The comfortable beds all have duvets and our varied room sizes mean we have something to suit everyone from twins and doubles to a four bed family room and a seven bedded room for those seeking real value for money.*

The atmosphere is relaxed and fun, we have friendly staff and you’ll find great company in the bar which is open to residents and non-residents. Whether you just want a cup of coffee or a round of champagne to celebrate a special occasion, the bar is the place to be, with a big screen and a fantastic music system.  There is an extensive cocktail list and a wide range of bar snacks. Free internet access for guests means you can check your emails or surf the net whilst enjoying a relaxing drink. For those who have the energy and a competitive spirit there is a separate games room with a pool table, pinball and table football.

Whether for leisure or business, short stay, long weekend or holiday we have a price that suits every pocket. The Ridge can be booked by the room, the floor, or exclusively for total privacy. In winter there is a minimum four night stay (except arrivals Mon, Tues, Wed) and prices are for half board.

Our modern style restaurant located in the hotel extension has won much praise for its great three course set winter dinner menus. Dinner starts at 7.30pm and at the height of the season, or when the hotel is fully booked, there are two sittings. Ask your waiter about our fantastic range of wines.

Bedrooms

There are 30 modern en-suite bedrooms in The Ridge, with comfortable beds and high quality duvets.  There are a variety of rooms available: twins, triples, quad family rooms, and a seven bedded room for the budget conscious. Towels are provided and changed mid week.

Most rooms have great views. Book early to reserve the best views over the mountains.

Please note that our rooms do not have telephones or tea and coffee making facilities.  All rooms consist of single beds. Some are proposed as doubles due to 2 single beds being next to each other.

Interior 

The Ridge hotel is decorated throughout in a modern, contemporary style. The foyer is spacious with a comfortable sofa and information for guests. The Ridge bar has Italian furniture and a fun atmosphere. The restaurant, for dinner and breakfast, is located in our modern extension. The lounge has a 50 inch plasma TV screen and satellite TV programmes are available. We have a first floor seating area with sofas and tables. You can sit here and connect up to the internet (wifi) from your laptop to check your e-mails when you are not out on the slopes.

The Hotel also has a Conference facility.

The Ridge Bar

Our bar is the place to be in the evenings. It is modern, stylish, has a great atmosphere and is open to residents and non-residents seven nights a week. It has a fantastic surround sound music system with 55,000 MP3 tracks. The bar is fully licensed so you can enjoy anything from a cocktail, shooter, to cold beer. NEW this season is our great cocktail list which includes the Ridge Bar Ripple, Altitude Adjuster, Slippery Slope and the Ridge Royal. The Ridge Bar shows lots of the main sporting events on the big screen. There is a good selection of bar snacks in the evenings. For those who have the energy and competitive spirit there is also a Games Room with a pool table, pinball, and table football and on special nights The Ridge Bar invites DJ's or bands for an evening of musical entertainment.
