this top of the range chalet sleeps 12-13 guests in 6 spacious twin/double bedrooms. 4 rooms have their own private facilities, the remaining 2 bedrooms share a large bathroom.
all the rooms are stylishly decorated, lovely and bright with large windows and have high quality fittings and furnishings. the chalet is the result of a well thought out renovation of an old barn, the old beams and many original features give it a charming alpine feel while the modern bathrooms, tasteful furnishings and added benefits of a sauna and an outdoor hot tub make it a truly special chalet.
the first floor has a huge open plan sitting/dining room with a log fire, leather sofas to chill out on and a large oak dining table, from which you can enjoy magnificent views across morzine whilst enjoying the delicious evening meal prepared by your chalet hosts, jenny and luke. jenny ran chalet alouette in les gets for us last year and is a terrific cook and chalet host, we are delighted to have her back!
french doors lead off the sitting room onto a large terrace, from which you get a great view of pleney, watching skiers make their way down the main run back to morzine or alternatively bask in the sun in one of our deck chairs, topping up that tan!.
the chalet is located in a quiet street, 7 minutes walk from the main ski lifts in morzine of super morzine and pleney. for the truly weary the free ski bus stops very near the chalet and even better the nearest is bar is less than 2 minutes by foot from the chalet! we also offer a complimentary mini-bus shuttle service to the foot of the slopes in the mornings and guests can leave skis and boots (even if your own) at the ski hire shop francois baud at the bottom of the main lift pleney, which means an easy stroll back to the chalet in the evenings in normal shoes. |

Food is a very important part of your ski chalet holiday and we take a great deal of pride and pleasure in serving you a great selection of culinary delights.
Breakfast, usually served between 8am and 9.30am, consists of a daily cooked special (bacon & eggs, pancakes, scrambled eggs, Eggs Benedict etc), complemented by a buffet spread, including fruit juice, a selection of cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit, croissants and freshly baked bread.
Afternoon tea will be laid out for you to help yourselves on your return from the ski slopes. Freshly baked cake, bread and jam, tea and coffee or if you prefer a beer or soft drink from the honesty bar, will provide a welcome stop gap before dinner.
Dinner will be served at about 8pm. We serve three courses every night, accompanied by our good quality house wines. Dinner is followed by a local cheese board and tea or coffee in the sitting room by the fire. We also cater for vegetarians and vegans and will do our best to cater for guests with special dietary requirements such as allergies (please do let us know at time of booking).
Children's Meals. After a long day skiing, kids often can't wait until 8pm to eat and you may want to enjoy your dinner, children-free, so we are happy to offer children's meals at an earlier time, usually served about 6pm. Typical meals include spaghetti bolognaise, followed by fruit salad and ice-cream. Plain chicken with baked potato and sweet corn followed by apple crumble and custard. Roast pork with apple sauce, roast potatoes and carrots, followed by chocolate mousse. All children's meals (as the adults' meals) are homemade.
