Altitude is located at 1530 metres, on the piste, in the main Les Gets ski area of Les Chavannes and next to all the lifts. Green, red and blue pistes weave back to the terrace through the woods.
We bought this property in 2008 and spent three years building the discerning skiers dream. There is a piste side bar, lounge terrace and lunchtime restaurant open to the public during the day. Residents have exclusive use of two small private lounges with an open fire and flat screen entertainment. Our chef also offers a flexible menu plan with choice of dishes for evening dining.
The funky urban interior boasts lift access to six of the nine bedrooms, including five family rooms, some with balconies or terraces and three with private outdoor hot tubs. The penthouse level has three bedrooms with a private lounge area. All rooms have Freesat HD TVs and BOSE SoundDocks.
On the ground floor there is a wet suite with sauna and massage room plus access to the outdoor hot tub. By day there is a family room for children to play in comfort, a facility for Mum and Dad to sterilize bottles and for teenagers to battle with the Wii; by night this becomes a spectacular cinema with HD projector, 92” screen and sounds to make a grown man weep. After 24 years in the game, we think that we might have at last conceived and delivered the ultimate skiing venue.

Imagine all the pleasure of a dinner party with friends every evening for a week; without the cooking, the taxi, the babysitter or the washing up. You don’t even have to bring a bottle, our celebrated sommelier has taken care of that. Nothing whets the appetite quite like a day on the mountain. Fuel your passion with a full hearty breakfast and then reward your daily exertions with a seductively sinful teatime treat balanced by an evening of healthy fine dining.
Our Executive Chef is passionate about food and hugely sensitive to the appetite of hungry skier and healthy palate. The new and refined 2012 menus are heavy enough to reward mountain exertion yet light and simple enough to leave you grinning not groaning.
If you are staying in one of our larger CLUB chalets then your chef will be offering canapés and a choice of menu every evening; a little more choice to pander the penchant of everyone in the party.

Our wines are selected by our Chalet Sommelier, Xavier Rousset. Chief Sommelier at the Hotel du Vin from 1999 to 2004 and Ruinart UK Sommelier of the Year in 2002, Xavier then became the youngest Master Sommelier in the world. After working as Head Sommelier at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, Xavier opened his own restaurant, Texture, with Head Chef, Agnar Sverrisson in 2007. We are all privileged to enjoy Xavier’s advice and share in his passion. |
