One of the quickest ways to ruin a fun day skiing is to feel cold to very cold. It helps to not only dress warmly (multiple layers) and use clothing that "wicks away" moisture to keep you dry but also to have items that "warm up". These include packets that when exposed to air heat up and remain warm for hours. They are perfect for both feet and hands and work terrific. If your extremities are kept warm the rest of you can stay warm (opposite is true if you're overheated)and you're not so uncomfortable with fingers and toes hurting. Situated in the restaurant area, towards the end of the resort, Le Cortina in Les Deux Alpes is a brand new luxury residence, built in a chic contemporary style.

Le Cortina apartments are ideally situated, just 100m from the Telecabine du Diable lift and are surrounded by many shops.

Despite having only 15 apartments, the residence offers a lounge, a wide LCD TV screen and DVD player, two 6-person Jacuzzis, sauna and steam room. Meal delivery service (on request, payable locally).

All apartments at Le Cortina are fitted and furnished to a very good standard of comfort and convenience. They have: living area with sofa, satellite LCD TV, marble bathroom with bath, separate wc, fully equipped kitchenette area with oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, 4 electric hotplates, coffee maker, and toaster. South-facing balcony. Free covered parking 50m from the residence (1 car space, extra cars €50/week).
