One of the quickest ways to ruin a fun day skiing is to feel cold to very cold. It helps to not only dress warmly (multiple layers) and use clothing that "wicks away" moisture to keep you dry but also to have items that "warm up". These include packets that when exposed to air heat up and remain warm for hours. They are perfect for both feet and hands and work terrific. If your extremities are kept warm the rest of you can stay warm (opposite is true if you're overheated)and you're not so uncomfortable with fingers and toes hurting. A very welcome addition to our programme 2 years ago, Chalet Michèle was built to a high specification and has four bedrooms, each with ensuite bathroom. Bright and airy, the stylish lounge enjoys plenty of light from the French windows and the large balconies provide an extension to the living areas so you can spy on passing skiers. The chalet is warm and cosy and the large lounge has a fireplace for roaring log fires and smart leather sofas. Children staying in Chalet Michèle can use the crèche in Chalet MarMau on the opposite side of the piste. (Pre-booking is absolutely essential). In around four minutes you can be in the village centre and you can ski to and from the chalet. We have installed a new boot warmer for the Winter 10-11 season.

As our regular guests will testify, our chalet hosts provide a tempting cooked breakfast and a mouthwatering three course meal six days a week, as well a delicious afternoon tea every day. Before dinner on Sunday you'll be welcomed with Champagne and canapés, and we also serve a cheeseboard one night, then a glass of kir with your canapés again on Saturday evening. Below you'll find an example of just a few of our most popular dishes.



We don't charge you a penny for being coeliac, vegetarian, or even a fussy eater! However it does make our chalet hosts' lives much easier if they have advance warning of your requirements, so please let us know about any allergies and intolerances when booking.
