| Chalet Pavot, La Tania, France |
Chalet Pavot was built in 2000 and is of traditional construction, with a handsomely decorated wood interior. The rooms are spacious, with good storage and are all ensuite. There is a lovely lounge with log fire and cable TV. the chalet is situated just below the La Tania cable car in a nice quiet part of town but less than five minutes walk from the centre of resort. It is a walk of only 100 metres to the lift in the morning and you can ski back even closer than that at the end of the day. There is a bar/restaurant 30 metres away and the pedestrian lift taking you up to the resort is 50 metres away. For those coming self drive there is ample parking close by.
Ground floor: one twin room (en-suite with shower), kitchen, ski and boot room.
First floor: dining room with circular table for guest equality and large separate lounge, with log fire, French windows open onto west facing terrace.
Second floor: two twin rooms, one with en-suite bath and WC, one with shower and WC.
Third floor: two more twins, both en-suite with shower and WC.
No shortage of hot water.
Under floor heating on ground floor.

A varied menu, with firm British favourites to Savoyarde specialities and of course vegetarian alternatives are always available. You can also make special requests for dishes which will be provided if at all possible.
Breakfast includes eggs, ham, cheese, cereals, french bread, preserves, yoghurt, fruit juice, tea and coffee.
After a hard day on the pistes, come back to the chalet to find a freshly bakedcake, bread, jam and tea or coffee waiting for you to dig into.
The evenings highlight is the dinner served at 8pm, where you sit down to a delicious three course meal with unlimited (good quality Appellation Controlee) wine during and fresh filter coffee in the lounge afterwards.
Chalet staff have one day off a week when breakfast and tea are laid out for you to help yourselves. In the evening you have the chance to try one of the local restaurants. |
