| Chalet Caspar, La Rosiere, France |
Chalet Caspar is located in a beautiful wooded area of La Rosiere 1850m and is tucked away in a secluded spot, perfect for your privacy and peace and quiet. The chalet has recently been refurbished transforming it into a stylish, comfortable, light and inviting chalet with top quality fixtures and fittings. The chalet has wonderful south facing views overlooking the Tarentaise Valley and the huge windows flood the chalet with natural light.
On entering the chalet you leave your skis in the rack, boots on the pegs and ski clothes on the hooks in the spacious heated boot and ski room so everything can dry nicely overnight. On the first floor there are two twin rooms, one of which can be made into a triple or quad with bunk beds. They share a bathroom with bath, sink and WC. There is also the sauna with adjacent shower room and access to the outdoor hot tub in which to relax after a day on the slopes.
Going upstairs to the middle floor you will walk into the spacious open plan dining and charming lounge area with ample seating for up to 12 people. The roaring log fire ensures the room is always warm and inviting and the huge panoramic windows ensure lots of natural light fills the chalet. On the middle floor there is a double with ensuite bathroom with shower, sink and WC. On the top floor there are two rooms, a double and twin which share a bathroom with bath, 2 sinks & WC and there is a TV/chill out area on the upper floor also.
Chalet Caspar can sleep an additional 2 people by turning one of the twin rooms into a triple and adding a bed on the upper floor/mezzanine or alternatively two beds on the mezzanine. Chalet Caspar has copious amounts of hot water. We offer fluffy towels, comfy slippers and luxurious bathrobes.
The Sauna... The benefits of using our sauna are numerous. Not least because it is so relaxing and leaves your body soothed and your mind serene. It´s main advantage lies in the fact that it promotes sweating, helping the body to rid itself of toxins. It is also believed that exposure of the skin to heat stimulates the production of white blood cells and strengthens the immune system. The heat and humidity of the sauna also diffuses pain and relaxes tired muscles. It is also believed to improve blood circulation and breathing, promote weight loss (it burns about 300 calories per average session) and aid skin cleansing.
Chalet Hot Tub... The terrace is fitted with a Hot Tub romantically lit at night with fairy lights from where you can appreciate this truly special location whilst sipping a glass of champagne!
Chalet Caspar is a non-smoking chalet and ashtrays are provided on balconies for smokers. Please refer to the floor plans when booking as you may wish to select a particular room or floor. Chalet Caspar is set down from the road and there are a number of steps to reach the chalet which may not be suitable for the elderly. Your Chalet Hosts eat dinner with you and live out. Our chalets are suitable for individuals, couples, small or large groups or families and corporate breaks. Everybody is welcome! We can also offer a 2 week 2 resort holiday from a choice of La Rosière, Sainte Foy, Les Arcs, Meribel and La Plagne.

If you have any food allergies, intolerances or dislikes, let us know as soon as possible so we can plan a lovely menu for you to avoid disappointment. Dinner
Dinner is a stylish candlelit five course dinner party and we offer a hearty, wholesome meal. We know how important it is to eat well after a day on the mountain. Dinner commences at 7.30pm with aperitifs and canapés, followed by a tasty starter served at 8pm, a scrumptious main course, a dessert to die for and if you’re still hungry there’ll be a cheeseboard with local specialities to sample. Your meal will be served with some delightful local Savoie wines direct from a local vineyard as well as some classic wines from all over France, selected after lots of diligent tastings, the perfect accompaniment to your meal. We have always had compliments about our food so be prepared for mouth-watering food every day. We run the very successful Ultimate Chalet Host Cookery Course outside of the winter season which teaches budding chalet hosts how to cook tasty and nutritious meals for large numbers and how to run a chalet. We hand pick some of staff from these courses, so you can expect a high standard of cuisine, with attention being paid to the quality of the ingredients which will always be fresh and chosen by us.
We serve high tea for children at an earlier time of 6pm, all home-made versions of kids favourites. If you prefer your children to eat with you, please let us know and we will serve smaller portions of the dishes served to the adults.
For the kiddies
We firmly believe that your kids are on holiday too and we go to great lengths to make sure they are fed home made, well balanced, tasty and nutritious meals with yummy desserts you’ll want to eat yourselves! High teas are normally served at an earlier time of 6pm. We will talk to you about what kinds of foods your kids enjoy eating. |
