Chalet Castor is an exceptional catered chalet in La Plagne every bit as stunning as it's sister Chalet Renard next door. Ski-in, ski-out and very spacious, this 'chocolate box' chalet offers the most opulent of La Plagne ski packages, finished in true Alpine style and creating an ‘old world’ feel with a generous use of exposed beams and traditional wood and stone.
The Chalet has a generous lounge/dining room with charming traditional open log fire place and very comfortable sofa seating. From the lounge there are sliding doors onto large south facing sun terraces where you can take in the stunning valley views, stretching to Mont Blanc. Bedrooms are all en-suite and many of them have balconies with equally impressive views. Facilities are modern and ample: Jacuzzi, games room, widescreen satellite TV, Wi-Fi, Xbox 360, DVD, under floor heating and heated boot racks to keep you warm and cosy.
Just a short stroll from your La Plagne chalet, approximately ten minutes away, is the centre of the attractive village of Les Coches, and with views to die for, we think it is the ideal setting for the perfect ski holiday. Chalet Castor has everything you could wish for from a home away from home. You will be hard pressed to find another catered chalet in La Plagne that meets the sytle and atmosphere of Chalet Castor.
The Les Coches slope that runs past the door of the chalet has recently been reclassified from a blue run to a red. We feel that anyone who has spent a couple of weeks on snow should be able to manage the piste without difficulties, but since it is the first run of the day it might not appeal to complete novices.
Larger groups might be interested in 'joining' the two chalets (Chalet Renard and Chalet Castor), with both of them sharing the same views and great amenities it makes for a great option, with everybody equally satisfied.
