| Chalet Hotel Dahu, Courchevel 1850, France |
If you like to stay in the heart of the action then the Chalethotel Dahu is perfect. It's close to shops, bars and restaurants. The ski school is a couple of minutes walk away and the Forum Centre, with bowling alley, skating rink and climbing wall. Plus it's just 100m from the Croisette lift station.
Chalethotel Dahu is friendly and inviting with its open plan lounge bar on the first floor full of comfortable sofas and soft lights. It feels wonderfully welcoming at the end of a long day on the slopes, just the place to relax with a drink. Opening off the lounge, the restaurant is light and airy, with plenty of space to dine with a group or take a table for two.
Bedrooms are a good size and well designed for families. Many rooms will take an extra bed, some rooms are interconnecting and there's one very stylish suite. Single rooms are also available. All of the rooms have ensuite bathrooms, TV with English channels and most have balconies.
There is a Viva Health and beauty salon within the hotel, offering a variety of treatments such as massage, facials, manicures and pedicures. A perfect indulgence after a hard day's skiing.
There are a total of 35 rooms comprising of:
Twin - 2 single beds and en-suite bathroom (some rooms can take an extra bed and/or cot).
Bunk Room - Single bed with a pull down bunk (suitable for 1 adult or 2 children) with en-suite bathroom.
Single - 2 single beds (suitable for 1 adult or 2 children) and en-suite bathroom.
Small Double - 1 small double with en-suite bathroom.
Interconnecting Twins (small) - 1 twin room interconnecting to a second smaller twin room (suitable for children). Both rooms have en-suite bathrooms.
Interconnecting Twins - 2 twin rooms with en-suite bathrooms. Can take an extra cot.

Courchevel 1850 has it all, shops, bars, restaurants, a host of non-skiing activities and of course a fabulous ski area.
Even though the Dahu is not adult only, outside school holidays guests are mainly made up of couples and groups of friends, with some young families. The chalethotel bar and lounge is light and airy and a perfect place to relax after a hard days skiing. The restaurant has plenty of space to dine with a group or take a table for two.
On the doorstep of the chalethotel are a host of bars and restaurants. The Jump Bar is nearby to the hotel and is a perfect spot for a lively après ski drink or two. Dinner is served in the chalethotel restaurant on 6 nights of the week, and on one evening (Thursday) guests dine out. With a choice of many good restaurants ranging in price, our staff will be happy to help you choose and make the reservation for you. Post dinner there are a multitude of bars and clubs if you are looking for some nightlife. TJ's and Oxygen are two bars that spring to mind for good lively fun and if you like to dance the night away you can do so at "Le Cave" or "Kalico's". |

It's important to us that you enjoy every moment of your holiday - the skiing, the resorts, and - of course, the food and drink. We've taken great care to make sure that our dining rooms are atmospheric places where you can unwind and chat with friends. Meals are relaxed occasions at our chalethotels with plenty of delicious, healthy food, accompanied by good wines.
Breakfast
Breakfast is served every morning until 10am. As well as a cooked breakfast, there is a buffet of juices, cereals, yoghurt and fruit, local breads and pastries, preserves and honey, along with tea, coffee, herbal teas and hot chocolate.
A selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate is available in the lounge throughout the day.
Afternoon tea
This is a sight you will come to love - a selection of cakes, biscuits, bread, jams and honey, to greet you on your return from the slopes. There's also soup, if you prefer, along with a choice of teas, coffee and plenty of hot chocolate.
Dinner
Six nights a week our chefs create a three course menu with a choice of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. On two evenings, including the evening of arrival, they will prepare a buffet with plenty of choice to suit all tastes. For those with a sweet tooth there are some memorable desserts to enjoy, or, for those who prefer savouries, we serve cheese.
Wine
To accompany your meal you have a choice of wines; two whites and two reds. These table wines are complimentary and are available throughout dinner until coffee is served. We have a selection of other wines that can be purchased at extra cost.
Special diets
If you have any special dietary requirements please let us know before you travel and we will do our best to accommodate you. If you require specialised products, it may be advisable to bring these along with you.
Special occasions
Should you be marking a special occasion and need a celebratory cake, please speak to the chalethotel staff in good time, or order it through our After Sales department prior to your holiday.
Eating out
Once a week, our chefs and kitchen staff have an evening off. This is your opportunity to explore the local restaurants. Your chalethotel will have plenty of information on the local places to eat and will be happy to book a table and arrange transport for you. Please note this meal is at your own expense. Breakfast and afternoon tea are served as usual on this day.
Seating arrangements
Many of our guests enjoy the convivial dinner party ambience of a large shared table, whereas others prefer to dine in a family group or as a couple. It does depend on the size and layout of the dining area, but our staff will always do their best to accommodate your preferences. In chalethotels Tovière, Cygnaski, Moris and Christina, where our dining rooms are designed for the more traditional chalet-style skiing holiday, guests dine together in groups.
Bars
All our chalethotels have their own bars for the use of guests. Drinks bills are charged to your room and must be paid for at the end of your holiday by Visa, Mastercard or in local currency. Please note that licensing laws prohibit the drinking of duty-free or brought-in alcohol in our public rooms. |
