chalet prarion is a luxury ski in ski out chalet set in private grounds on the edge of the aillouds blue piste in the ski area above the picturesque village of les houches. perfectly placed looking out onto the piste the ski chalet remains private and exclusive to its clients, courtesy of its landscaped gardens.

due to the intimate surroundings and fabulous location, chalet prarion can provide a ski in ski out experience, unlike any other luxury ski chalets in chamonix.

the chalet consists of 5 spacious bedrooms accommodating up to 10 people and each room can be organised as twins or doubles. all bedrooms have en-suite facilities and for your comfort we provide:

- towels including mid week towel change

- bed linen extra pillow on request

- bath robes and slippers

- gilchrist and soames toiletries

- hairdryers

- heated towel rails in all en-suites

the main accommodation of the chalet is laid out over two floors with 4 bedrooms on the top floor and 1 bedroom off the hallway on the first floor. cots and a z bed are available on request for children.

in the dining room there is a grand oak table with comfortable seating for 10 people. from the dining room you can watch skiers pass the chalet whilst enjoying the cosiness of the log fire. the lounge doors open out onto a decked area where you will find the hydro therapy hot tub tastefully sunken to maintain your privacy.

back inside the chalet there are two warm leather sofas to sit and relax, chat amongst friends and family, play your favourite dvd on the surround sound cinema projection system to experience the ‘movies’, or listen to your favourite music on the bose ipod docking station. the double sided fire place also means you can enjoy the homely log fire from the lounge as well as the dining room.

on the ground floor you will find the ski and boot room conveniently located near the chalet front entrance. slippers are provided for your use throughout the chalet.

facilities

for the children (and the adults) sledges and outside toys are provided for your fun and entertainment, all we ask is that you put them away at the end of the day so they don’t get lost in the snow! board games and cards are also provided, as are a large selection of dvds and an ipod pre-loaded with a variety of music.

snow shoes can be found in the ski room so if you would like to borrow them we ask only for a deposit of 50 euros refunded on their safe return.

Breakfast Breakfast is normally served around 8:00 it is served continental style, with croissants, fresh bread, preserves, fruit, cereal, fruit juice, yoghurts, and choice of eggs, toast, coffee, and tea. Afternoon Tea At the end of an exhilarating day, back at the chalet you will be greeted by tea, coffee, bread, and cakes, prepared earlier in the day by our chef. This is an informal opportunity to relax and refuel, whilst enjoying the chalet’s alpine charm and the roaring log fire. A perfect time also to relax in the hydro therapy hot tub and take in the breath taking scenery of the Mont Blanc Massif and majestic Aiguille du Midi. Dinner Evening dinner is a four course delight, prepared professionally by our chef. An example menu is shown below (please note that menus change weekly to accommodate availability of fresh ingredients): Terrine of wild boar with forest mushrooms and rosemary jus *** Tiny white bean and guinea fowl soup with pancetta crumbs and truffle oil *** Beef filet on a sweat potato rosti, topped with courgettes and red pepper garnish, served with a brown reduction sauce and mustard seed oil *** Panna Cotta with roasted coffee beans and orange zest Selected Wines During dinner, you are free to choose your favourite wines from our fine wine selection or take chef’s choice on the night, it’s up to you! Children’s menu We are happy to offer a separate sitting for children at 6pm with a 2 course menu specially tailored to the age group in mind. If you prefer your children to eat with you this can be easily accommodated, just let us know in advance your preferences before you arrive. We are more than happy to discuss all your children’s requirements.
