Our exclusive development of five chalets is located at the top of town and next to all the main lifts. Built around an atmospheric cobbled courtyard at a giddying altitude of 2000m, and surrounded on two sides by piste, the five chalets of Le Village characterize the ultimate in ski-in ski-out convenience. Instructors actually ski to the boot room door and collect you for your lesson! Those familiar with our previous developments will not be surprised that we have made our usual choice from the a la Carte Alpine menu; stone walls, slate roofs, vaulted ceilings, solid timber floors, hi-tec entertainment, snappy chic en-suite bathrooms, hot tubs, saunas... all the ubiquitous toys that have become our trademark. Each of the bedrooms is larger than the customary Alpine offering and every bedroom has a balcony, some actually spill straight onto the piste.

An exciting caged people carrier provides aerial transport down to all parts of the resort including the outdoor ice rink and pool. With a nursery slope under your nose, our famed nanny service to look after the kids and spa treatments for a little spoilt indulgence, for the first time the discerning skier seeking supreme comfort can enjoy everything that Alpe d’Huez has to offer.

Our Executive Chef is passionate about food and hugely sensitive to the appetite of hungry skier and healthy palate. The new and refined 2012 menus are heavy enough to reward mountain exertion yet light and simple enough to leave you grinning not groaning.

If you are staying in one of our larger CLUB chalets then your chef will be offering canapés and a choice of menu every evening; a little more choice to pander the penchant of everyone in the party.

Our wines are selected by our Chalet Sommelier, Xavier Rousset. Chief Sommelier at the Hotel du Vin from 1999 to 2004 and Ruinart UK Sommelier of the Year in 2002, Xavier then became the youngest Master Sommelier in the world. After working as Head Sommelier at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, Xavier opened his own restaurant, Texture, with Head Chef, Agnar Sverrisson in 2007. We are all privileged to enjoy Xavier’s advice and share in his passion.
