You can now try the fantastic Arctic adventure resort of Leviin magical Lapland. Levi ski resort information

Well within the Arctic Circle lies the famous Finnish ski resort of Levi. Visitors from all over flock here to experience the wonders of the Arctic landscape, while enjoying un-crowded slopes and a friendly village atmosphere.

As one of Finland’s largest ski areas, and being the furthest north, Levi boasts fabulous light powder snow from October to May due to the low temperatures throughout the winter. Snow cannons are here too to ensure the pistes are always perfectly maintained.

With over 40 runs and 27 lifts serving the ski area, the slopes are generally un-crowded and queues are kept to a minimum. Lots of competitions and World Cup events have been held here, and for good reason.

The resort itself has a warm and inviting atmosphere, with streets lined with pretty restaurants and cabins, and hotels nestled amongst the trees. Mountain restaurants are also dotted across the slopes, and a spectacular panoramic restaurant sits at the top of one mountain.

Après ski in the ski resort of Levi

Après ski in the ski resort of Levi is plentiful and full of charm and tradition. Delicious Lapp cuisine is served in several of the 30 restaurants, one of which, Kammi, serves food which has been cooked on an open fire. Some of the hotels boast huge night clubs; there are karaoke nights and also live bands. For a once in a lifetime experience, head to the mountain top restaurant Tuikku in the hope of seeing the magical Northern Lights.
