Hemsedal ski resort information
Probably the most well known ski resort in Norway, Hemsedal is a village-like resort situated a couple of kilometres from the main ski area, Hemsedal Ski Centre. A ski bus takes you to the bottom of the lifts.
There are around 40km of pistes here to cover, with some runs stretching for 6km. There’s a good mix of lifts, with some fast chair lifts, a T-bar and some draglifts serving the more off-piste areas.
Skiers and snowboarders of all levels will fit in here and you can cruise the long winding green runs, practice your parallel turns on the reds or challenge yourself to a tricky black run.
Hemsedal village sits at 650m, but skiing is up to 1450m. Slope side self catered apartments can be found in a pretty tree lined area of Skarsnuten, but the main half board hotels and cabins are in the Hemsedal village, along with amenities such as some shops and a bank.
