There has been much recent improvement and it now has 28 lifts, 122 pistes, several hundred kilometres of runs and Canada’s most extensive night skiing facilities. Mont St Anne is the largest of these three and offers 13 lifts, which include a wonderful new 8-person gondola
the skiing
This is a highly enjoyable mountain of mostly steep cruising, some pleasant gladed blues and great tree-skiing. Stoneham is the most convenient resort for Quebec with about 30 km of runs on three mountain faces. It is ideal for families or gentle cruising with the beautifully groomed slopes leading back to a lovely lodge.
advanced
It has recently added a terrain park, high speed lifts, extended other lifts and added over twenty runs whilst creating a top World Cup Downhill.
intermediate
There are loads of well-groomed intermediate pistes rolling through the forests, world cup runs, black diamonds and twenty acres of new glade skiing.
beginner
Nursery slopes are excellent and views of the St Lawrence stunning. Le Massif enjoys the highest vertical in the east and compares well with any major resort in the Rockies.
family
Quebec is very much a family resort with lots of kids after ski activities and excellent ski schools. Call us for information on child care.
snowboarding
Boarders are particularly well looked after with a 122m pipe, terrain park and a boarder-cross course.
apres ski
Quebec is a vibrant French-speaking city of considerable appeal with a fine choice of cafes, restaurants and brasseries which jostle for space with galleries, antique shops and gift boutiques. Night life is infamous, dining out excellent and there is a huge choice of varied non skiing pastimes, especially during the world famous February Carnival. Mont St Anne après ski is based at the (only) hotel where there is a good après ski bar, pool, and spa centre with treatments and massages available. Other activities include an atmospheric sleigh ride through the forest, snowmobiling, dog sledding. |
