Accommodation records for resort:
A new resort to the British market with only a handful of tour operators at the moment – so a good time to go. Big White is British Columbia’s highest ski area and as its name suggests has excellent snow records. The slopes are extensive and varied – definitely something for everyone. This small resort with lots of skiing is set to grow, and will eventually rival its more well known neighbours. A big plus point is that with most of its accommodation being ski in/out.
Big White’s Main Street is actually a ski run, where guests can ski to their doorstep or stroll through the village shopping and dining in world-class restaurants and pubs. This completely ski-in, ski-out modern village provides everything you will need for a great vacation, all within walking distance to your accommodation.
the skiing
The resort enjoys the extra light, easy-to-ski powder of the BC interior. Combined with lots of sunshine, and the quietest slopes you will ever ski on, this is a great spot for serious skiing and relaxation uninterrupted by the crowds. Big White has the unusual advantage that from the top of every lift all skiers will find a slope to suit them. Children's facilities are amongst the very best in the world plus there is a great 'Adventure Park' with tubing, snowmobiling and non-ski activities.
advanced
The Cliff area has short double-black-diamond runs easily accessible using the Cliff chair. There are longer blacks using the gem Lake chair and glades to explore. Above the tree line there is great powder and enough challenging skiing to keep a fixed grin on the better skiers.
Intermediate
There are long blues and greens, which are popular with families. For the more advanced there are some easy blacks and challenging blues.
Beginners
There is a good dedicated nursery area in the village and lots of easy runs to progress to.
Snowboarding
Boarders are offered riendly beginner and free riding terrain with  boarder-friendly lifts. Four snowboard parks and five days of free night skiing complete a very rosy picture.
Family
The excellent children and learner facilities also make it a perfect choice for a family or mixed ability group.
Après ski
Big White's pedestrian village is a pleasant laid back area with a surprising number of bars, restaurants and facilities. There are numerous activities both on and off the slopes. As well as the Adventure Park there is night skiing, husky sledding, horse sleigh rides, cross country skiing plus events like a Bonfire party and kids movie night. There is a good choice of shops, bars and restaurants whilst other off slope attractions include swimming, skating, tubing and snowmobiling. When the chairlifts close, Big White comes alive with an exciting array of activities for all ages. Every night there is something different and exciting happening at Big White. From live après entertainment, to movie nights, outdoor bonfires, fireworks, and carnival nights, the whole family can keep enjoying the mountain when the sun goes down.
