Traditional but lively, with its cobbled streets and medieval buildings, Zell am See is undoubtedly one of the most charming and attractive lakeside ski resorts in Austria. Both Zell am See and the neighbouring resort of Kaprun (accessible via a free ski bus) offer access to the Europa Sport ski area, where 130km of pisted runs and lots more off-piste mean there’s plenty of terrain to explore.
