St Wolfgang ski resort information
The ski Austrian ski resort of St Wolfgang can offer groups with skiers and non skiers a great winter holiday. Set in the middle of the Austrian Lake District there are 2 areas of skiing which both have to be reached by bus. The Postalm area is about 35 minutes journey and has an excellent snow record over the years. The other area is Gosau which is about an hour away, this has a larger selection of runs, with 65km of piste. The St Wolfgang area has lots more things on offer, with the beautiful lake that the town overlooks, which when frozen can be skated on.

This quiet traditional town has some pleasant bars and restaurants where you can enjoy a nice drink with dinner. Not a party town but has a couple of nice bars you can enjoy late into the evening, there is also a village disco in the Tanzlokal Kellerstüberl.

In St Wolfgang you can enjoy ice skating on the frozen lake and there are weekly trips organised locally to the casino in Salzburg. You can go on a pleasant Sleigh ride or Snowshoe walk around the town and enjoy the stunning views.
Beginners skiing in the ski resort of St Wolfgang
This ski resort is ideal for beginners. The Postalm has some good easy slopes for beginners to gain confidence.
Intermediates skiing in the ski resort of St Wolfgang
The Postalm plateau is a really good place for intermediates to gain confidence, the runs are mainly red and will help you improve your technique. For the more adventurous intermediates will want to travel to the Gosau area which is also mainly red runs.
Advanced skiing in the ski resort of St Wolfgang
There is limited skiing for more advanced skiers in St Wolfgang. Some of the runs in the Gosau are more challenging than in Postalm, and Gosau has 65kms of piste.
Snowboarding in the ski resort of St Wolfgang
For boarders who are just starting out the ski resort of St Wolfgang is a great place, the terrain here is nice and gentle. Once you have gained confidence you can travel over to Gosau where the terrain in much more of a challenge and there is also a park and pipe there.
