The ski resort of St Johann is a beautiful place to stay for beginners and easy intermediate skiers. The village is small and has some stunning views. With its north facing slopes it can boast some of the best snow, yet still have the back up of good snow making facilities as well. This village is situated between the Kitzbüheler Horn and Wilder Kaiser mountains and has some great slopes. You will find the main slope area a 10 minute walk away from the centre. It also has some very good cross country ski areas due to the good snow. This ski resort is nice and relaxed and ideal for families. It has 22 lifts and 60km of piste in St Johann and if you travel across to the Schneeuwinkel area there is a further 170km.

The ski resort of St Johann has plenty of off piste skiing to try. You will also want to try the amazing Penzing run, this a long black run all the way to Penzing with lots of challenging areas along the way.
