If like us, you dislike ugly purpose-built resorts, but like to cover a few kilometres on the piste, Meribel should be on the short list of resorts to visit.
Meribel ski resort information

The Uk’s favourite French ski resort is Meribel which lies in the very centre of the biggest linked ski area in the world called the “Three Valleys”  or “Les Trois Vallees” which covers over 650km of perfectly groomed piste in France. To the west are the ski resorts of Courchevel and La Tania and to the east are Val Thorens, Les Menuires and St Martin de Belleville.

Meribel ski resort has three parts, Meribel Centre, which is the most popular with good night life, restaurants and bars; Meribel Village about 3km away is more laid back with a smaller selection of restaurants and bars; and Meribel Mottaret also about 3Km away and has the highest altitude base point with mainly apartments, a few hotels and the odd chalet.

If like many, you prefer not to ski in purpose built resorts then Meribel will be for you and should be close to the top of any list of best ski resorts. Meribel has lots of chalets which are located across the valley from the top of the resort named Rond Point to the bottom area named Chaudanne.

Ski Line offer chalets for all tastes and budgets from simple lower priced ski chalets right up the most luxurious ski chalets within our super Luxury ski chalets range. Good ski hotels can be found located around the main lift departure points at Rond Point and Chaudanne. We also offer many privately owned ski apartments to suit all budgets.

Few ski chalets are truly ski in ski out here and those that are, are reflected in their prices. For those chalets not on the slopes the resort offers good public bus services connecting to all lifts and many of our chalet operators offer a private minibus service to and from the slopes.

Après ski in ski resort Meribel

Meribel ski resorts night life is very lively with plenty to offer when the skiing finishes. Bars around the foot of the slopes kick off the après ski and later in the evening many of them have music and dancing until late. Dicks Tea bar is one of the most popular late night clubs which stays open until the early hours. You are spoilt for choice with restaurants to suit all budgets and tastes.

Activities off the slopes in ski resort Meribel

The sports centre which is located at Chaudanne has swimming, tennis, ice skating and more.  There is also 10 pin bowling. It’s also possible to try your hand at Paraponting

Beginners skiing in ski resort Meribel

The Altiport area is a wonderful area of true green runs, gentle runs where even the most timid of first times skiers will quickly gain confidence. This area can easily be reached by beginners. It’s possible to buy a beginners lift pass that covers just three lifts and there’s also a small nursery slope at the top of the village by Rond Point.

Intermediates skiing in ski resort Meribel

Simply paradise for Intermediate skiers and snow boarders, the choice of runs are endless.
Virtually every area offers intermediates fantastic runs. Intermediates of all levels will be able to easily reach the best runs from Courchevel 1650 to Val Thorens.

Advanced Skiing in ski resort Meribel

The shear size of the ski area will keep even the most piste hungry skiers busy all week from steep blacks to long Reds. Combine this with the fast and efficient ski lifts makes the Meribel ski area an obvious choice for advanced skiers.
