The ski resort of Kaprun is situated at the bottom of the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier so you will always have amazing snow and fantastic back drops. The level range that Kaprun has on offer is very good from the nice nursery slopes for beginners to the great off piste area for the advanced skiers. There are local buses connecting the ski resort of Kaprun with Zell am See and the lift pass covers both areas. A gondola runs up the Alpincenter and the main slope in 2 stages.
The main area of Kaprun is served by a cable car and various T-Bars. There are 130km of slopes over 4 different areas, so if you are happy to stay with the same area over a weeks skiing this is the place for you. The tree lined slopes are a very beautiful sight. You also have the sports centre in the village which has a wide variety of facilities. The breath taking scenery of the Glacier with such a good range of high altitude skiing combined with all the local bars and restaurants make the Ski Resort of Kaprun a good all round resort on and off the piste. We can offer chalets and hotels in this resort and there are also a few chalets with Childcare.

Kaprun is quietr than it neighbour Zell am See which offers more lively nightlife, however there is a selection of Bars, restaurants and Discos and the more rustic and traditional Stubes.

The Optimum leisure centre has lots of off piste facilities. You can upgrade your lift pass to include the indoor and outdoor pools. With in this upgrade you can also use the steam room. Also in the ski resort of Kaprun you can go bowling, tobogganing, ice skating and night skiing.

There is a nice gentle nursery slope in the ski resort of Kaprun, this can then lead you onto the blue runs from the glacier which is the next step up without to much of a leap.

The slopes in Kaprun mainly consist of reds and blue runs, most of which are quite gentle runs. With over 58 lifts over 130km of slopes you will fine plenty of runs for an intermediate level.

There are 7 black runs in the ski resort of Kaprun with lots of amazing powder of the glacier. You can also travel across to the neighbouring resort of Zell am See for some even more exciting and invigorating runs.

The ski resort of Kaprun is considered one of the best resorts in Europe for boarders with its varied terrain. It held the snowboard testing annual show ‘Snowboard UK’ as it has such a positive attitude toward snowboarders. There’s a terrain park here which includes a half pipe and rails. |
