The Hotel Brücke is superbly located to access all the delights that the lively resort of Mayrhofen has to offer. Just a 2 minute walk takes you the Ahornbahn lift, giving access to some lovely gentle blue runs or the 5.5km leg-burner Ahorn piste, highly recommended as the best run in the Ziller Valley. A mere 3 minute walk in the other direction takes you to the top of the resort centre and the Penkenbahn lift, which whisks you up to the top of the mountain and the majority of Mayrhofen’s pistes. The train station connecting to the other resorts of the Ziller Valley is 10 minutes away or jump on one of the regular buses (free with your lift pass) from the Ahornbahn. The best of Mayrhofen’s legendary après-ski and nightlife are on your doorstep as two of the most famous bars in resort, the Brück’n Stadl après bar and the Schlüssel Alm club, are part of the hotel.
Hotel Gasthof Brücke is a traditionally decorated Tyrolean treasure offering something for everyone in a relaxed and homely atmosphere. The bedrooms are large, furnished with a traditional Austrian charm and equipped with Austrian twin beds, a bath with shower attachment, toilet, cable TV (with some English channels), hairdryer, safe, telephone and balcony. International cuisine plus local specialities are served on a half board basis (drinks not included) in the buffet restaurant, with a choice of three main meals every evening. The hotel’s new spa area includes a steam room, infrared heat cabin, Finnish sauna, bio sauna, outdoor showers, solarium, VIP showers and Kneipp pool (charged locally) to refresh you after a hardcore day on the slopes or to get you ready for the crazy Austrian nightlife. As if that wasn’t enough, the hotel also has a garden and children’s playroom and most importantly for us winter sports enthusiasts, a heated ski and boot room. |
